Exemestane, or Aromasin, is another anti-aromatase similar to Femara and
Arimidex. There are slight differences in the modes of action by each
anti-aromatase, but Aromasin is thought to be slightly better than Arimidex
and Femara by minimizing the negative lipid profile commonly associated with
Arimidex and Femara, and by not having a rebound effect with estrogen that
is sometimes associated with Femara. Another advantage that many people find
with Aromasin is that much like Arimidex, there is no reduction in libido,
but there can be a reduction in libido associated with Femara which seems to
have a higher incidence of lowering the user’s libido. The common dosage for
using Aromasin is between 10-25 mg/day depending upon the user’s needs and
the amount of aromatizable steroids that are being used.
