~~~Q-Tip~~~
|
I’ve debated for the last 3 weeks on whether or not I should start a new log, resume logging on the old one or to even log at all. I decided to create a new log but I don’t know how much time I will devote to it.I’m not ‘prepping’ for a contest or any specific event I’m just too damn stubborn to give up, sit back and stay fat. It's just not in my nature. FYI - Redheads Rule. (Thanks Tweak)
This time around I have a very different mindset and a much better support system. (Mike's been soooooo supportive ) Within my own heart, mind and soul I’ve grown in many ways (not just the size of my arse,) and I’m much more comfortable with who I am now, at this point in my life and I have a much clearer focus on who I want to become and what it will take to get there. Now it’s just time to Bunny-up! and get it done.New attitude+ new goals=new log. If you’re interested my old log (that I haven’t posted on in months) it’s here. Basic log rules: Constructive criticism is welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Purposely being mean, nasty, hateful to me or anyone posting in my log is not acceptable - your hate is not welcomed here so *poof* go away bad dream. ![]() Sunday - 08/24/08 Mantra: Start Slow.Goals: Look good in smaller, sexier underwear. (Fat loss)Timeline: 18 weeks out. (so to speak LOL)Height: 5’4” Scale Weight: 177 (this morning’s weight before cheat meal )BMI: >3,487.95 (I won’t be getting it tested for a couple more weeks. Fitday says 30 & scale says 28 meh…..) Supps: grey=didn't take them todayCardio: 6 days per week in the evenings after dinner Typically on yoga/yogalates days I also go to the track and do my 3 miles. This week I plan on adding a second cardio session in the mornings instead of evenings. (That is IF I can get my lazy arse outta bed when the alarm rings. ) The yoga/yogalates will be in the am and the walk or elliptical will be in the evenings. Weights: Weight won’t be added for a couple more weeks. I’ve started slow by adding daily cardio, now I’m upping the cardio to 2x per day and when I’ve gotten a couple of weeks under my belt in that rotation I will add the weights back in. The lifting will most likely be a 2 or 3 day split of some nature but there will definitely be some SLD’s in there because I miss those. I have a weight bench in the basement with 200 lbs worth of plates. Due to high blood pressure all weight training will be with lighter weights, higher reps & sets – per the doctor. At this time I’m not looking to add any size because I don’t know what I have to work with – it’s all covered with jiggly fat. Loose the fat and see where I’m at. The doctor hasn't actually cleared me to lift again but she's more of a 'do more cardio' doctor imo. Diet: (Palumbo diet modified to fit my body’s caloric needs.) Info found here. Diet plan 1 = Protein/Fat – 3 days Diet plan 2 = Protein/Veggies – 1 day (tomorrow is P/V day) Cheat meal 1 time per week, usually Sunday. Calories are kept between 10x-12x body weight. Right now my body is responding very well to this diet and I won’t make any adjustments until my body stops responding. When the diet reaches its stall point I will add in some lower gi carbs for a few weeks and then restart. I’ve read the AF threads related to it and also the threads on MD but I’m concerned with the effectiveness of the rotation that I have. Mother nature messed up this last week so I don’t know if the 3:1 is working better than the 3:2– that will take another week or two to determine. So if you’ve done this type of diet before comments are welcomed. (Thanks SBT for getting me straightened out )Pics: (down Crofty down! )I had Mike take some pics earlier today but I won’t post them until I have something to compare them to. They aren’t pleasant to look and I almost cried looking at them. The cold hard truth is that I’m a fat chic, a biggin, a hoss ewwwwwww! Misc: Both of my girls are active duty National Guard and are scheduled to be deployed overseas sometime in 2009. *sigh* Grand baby is rotten rotten rotten and is enrolled in tumbling class. She had her first class last week and they thought she was very strong for her age. Yes I went and yes I got pics She’ll be 3 in October. She’ll be staying with nanny & papaw while mommy is deployed. Grammy will be helping out by taking her more often.My car died in July, wasn’t fixable so I finally had to break down and buy a newer one. Bought a 2006 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. I still have the truck but Mike drives it 99% of the time. Work is work. It's a very negative place, always has been and I'm job hunting because I'm ready to move on. It's very hard to remain 'Lil Ms Sunshine' (as they snidely refer to me LOL) all the time. School: Summer class was cancelled and I didn’t have the money for fall classes. I want to go back for the Spring 2009 semester that starts in January but that will depend solely on finances. Well, I guess this is enough for now. If you want to know something - ask. To all the people on this board who never give up and always find a way - Thank you for being a light that refuses to succumb to the darkness. ![]()
YAY! ![]() I'm so glad that you committed to making a log! You'll get so much love and support in here. Your weight does not have to be an constant up and down battle. I did that for years and years and years and I honestly know that this board was what was made me finally kick it in the ass. The support and accountability of a log really helped fuel my fire.Can't WAIT to watch your progress, Que. You're gonna kick ass! ![]() Do NOT beat yourself up over your first set of pictures. Seriously, who here DIDNT cry when they first started out? I know I did. I know my sister Raina did. I know T-Cake did. But it's a starting point. And soon those will be your FAVORITE pictures to show off because you'll be able to say "look how far I've come!" Shake off any fear of failure or success you may have. Cakers recently told a friend of mine "Don't question, just do. Don't think about it, just do it." Don't overcomplicate things. Take one day at a time. Logging is a big commitment but I know for me that it was the difference between staying on track or failing. I didn't know how to do it by myself for longer than a few weeks. So it's great that you've officially signed onto this and put yourself out there. ![]() You're gonna be great!
Hello lovely! How's my favorite accountant doing these days?Quote:
This time my mind was the first to shift into gear and now my body has to catch up. My mind says shut up and go and my body says 'I'm coming wait for me!' On another note - I've been trying the thongs for cardio and I think they are ok cuz I don't like sweaty granny panties getting all bunched up - but I'm still not comfortable wearing thongs to work and you can't make me. ![]()
