Here goes this Sundays ramble…
Goal will be to drop 10 lbs in the next 13 weeks just in time for our Costa Hiking trip.. I not only want to look and feel good but to be able to hike without issue…. Weighed in this morning at 133.6 lbs I need to make this workable for my crazy schedule..work/family life and other hobbies so I have decided to try this Monday to Friday noon will be low carb days… diet will consist of any of the following combinations Salmon, tuna steak, sole, chicken breast, ground bison, protein drinks, eggs and egg whites w/ green beans, spinach, broccoli, roasted red peppers, cucumbers I am not counting calories as I know what my portion sizes should be by eye Friday nights will be meal off .. ie anything I want ( I have just ordered some macadamia nut rum cake, kona glazed macadamia nuts and chocolate covered expression beans from Hawai… all my favorites and I will enjoy) Weekends are tougher to schedule with family and all so these will become two high carb days… I usually have thrown some lean meats in a crock pot with lentils, brown or wild rice, lima beans etc with a bunch of spices.. etc… or a good old bbq steak with baked potatoes etc I can only work out at ½ hour intervals…( too much on my plate). I plan on doing 4….. ½ hour work outs at lunch… 2-3 .. ½ hour workouts after work and 2 45 minute workouts on the weekends.. a total of about 5 hours per week.. I am going to try and bump that up as I go along as I prefer to burn it off than starve it off … I like food…lol The work outs will be on the intense side as they are short… I am will be doing circuits without rest.. ie 2-3 circuits of 2-3 exercises per circuit… very little rest in between so as to keep an elevated heart rate for a full 30 minutes… I will throw in some cardio sessions… Heavy weights will not be my goal but weights that will challenge me.. whatever that may be on that particular day… My body will let me know… Supplements Omega 3- EPA 800, DHA 400 Now Eve- Multi Green Tea extract Evening Primrose oil Glucosamine & Chondroitin Calcium I find my patience is very short lately.. That might be age..lol ( you know , grumpy old people) or the fact that I just have way too many things to deal with now a days… life is hectic and takes a good toll on energy… Well there it is for now.. I’ll try and get more detailed as I go along… Who knows, I might decide to compete again next year… I kind of miss it.. PS- Don’t ask me why…. But I’ve had a few people ask me to train them.. I actually had a trainer from the gym ask me to take her on as a student because she wants to compete… I was quite shocked… I told her I would help her out.. not sure about charging as such as it doesn’t feel comfortable and I really don’t have extra time to invest in others.. I need it for me right now…

I am satisfied with my first(again) week... I worked hard .. my work outs were intense.. my food intake was good but I might start jotting calories down.. I feel as though I might be taking portions larger than I should..I've been eating a lot of fish and spinach
I tried several new exercises .. I am sore all over.... I actually weighed in 1.2 lbs heavier Sunday.. but I am on my period . Next week will tell a closer truth.... I'll try an get a little more detailed this week....

![]() As for this week...blah... dropped to 134 lbs which is 0.2 lbs higher than when I started damn it.. I have been working out big time.. am sore everywhere... I know it'll take 3-4 weeks to get the body use to it I guess, I better start jotting things down and keep a serious journal I bought myself a new toy.. a heart rate monitor... the polar F11.. it's pretty cool..I wanted to see the calories burnt throughout the different work outs... I found that when during cardio the #'s spewed out by the machines are way higher than what my heart rate monitor would say.... Seeing what you burn whith each workout makes you think more about the calories going into your mouth...lol

I love my new little toy...
I am using at all work outs now ... The funny thing is I am finding it is different from each machine..some higher calories..some lower...but I like how it gives me an idea of what I am burning with each different type of workout ( yes, I realize that with resistance training calories continue to get burnt after the fact ).... It;s just something new and fun... This week has been a good week .... I feel tighter even though the scale might not be dropping huge..it is dropping... I will weigh in officially Sunday am again.... Tonight is night off and I hope I don;t over do it.. Night off is fun too ![]() ![]() This weeks daily consumption has been basically egg whites /turkey omelet tilapia w/ spinach yogurt/carrots eggs /bison protein drink I dont get bored.. I can eat the same thing over and over for quite some time as long as I know I have a weekly meal off.... Till Sunday
