Default Croft Cutting Chronicles Vol 2 - BRING IT ON!!!

Well folks, looks like it time for round 2 last Cutting Chronicles was subtitled Game on..the hubby suggested Bring it on..since I now know not only what I have to do..but that I have what it takes to do it plus I am just DIEING to know what all this lifting has changed..want to see if I have managed to meet my mission to build the better body.

As far as pics..I am holding off on them till next week when I get my BF% checked. I have a feeling it's not going to be good but here are starting stats:

Age - 39yrs ( more weeks anyway )
Height - 5'4"
weight - 149lb (ouch)

So it's time to cut up or shut up.. time to

BRING IT ON!!

Flip your pre- and post-workout meals. The additional carbs in that scoop of Gatorade will power you through your workout, and though I know you said you try to train on empty, more and more studies are showing that food, specifically carbs + protein, pre-workout are beneficial to you gym progress than an empty tummy or even just a protein-only tummy. I like that you're mixing up your strategy weekday to weekend -- good idea! I may have to try that once I'm training again.

Also, are you taking the morning supps (Red Blast, T-rex...) WITH the 7am meal... or are you taking them earlier than you eat? Got to down the food with the supps. I actually need to do that PLUS go back to sleep or rest/lie down for 30 minutes while it kicks in. If I take my supps, drink my Gatorade and run around the house before gym-time... the lack of 'settle time' is NOT good for me.

It's good that you felt hyper. That means you're responding well. Fit Mum took 6 at once and said she never felt anything. Yikes!
Alcar can be hard on the stomach so leave that for later.

I did take them with the protein shake about 7:20am then left for the gym about 30min later. hmmm but hearing that Alcar can also be hard on the stomach makes me wonder if I should just stick to my Redblast pre morning workout and leave both the alcar and the thermorex to after? I read on the Alcar bottle that it's best taken WITH fatburners..so does that mean I am best leaving both till later or is it ok to separate them and have Thermo pre workout and Alcar post workout?

Well it's Monday here now..so will be having oats/egg whites first anyway..so will take same dose and see how I go. Next weekend will flip the pre/post meal around and see if that affects me

thankyou both

Don't worry...looking after the girls. Started to feel them a bit today so eased off on the HIIT. Yes I promise, pics next Saturday with BF check

ok now as to thermorexin problem. today I even had oats and a protein shake 10 min before and STILL all the way through my workout I felt OVER stimulated and my mouth kept filling with water like I wasn't far off which does NOT make for a pleasant workout. I have started using YES prior to both AM and PM training so think apart from that addition to the morning workout..going to go back to my 4 Redblast and my V energy drink. I was like an energizer bunny with that without the factor . I will try having the thermorexin and Alcar tomorrow with my third meal and see how I go..otherwise I guess my husband just got himself some fatburners

Anyhooo...

supps - 1 glucorell
1 sesapure

Meal 1 - 1/3 cup oats
Protein shake

supps - 3 Redblast
1 Thermorexin
YES

AM workout

Treadmill - 10min
5min @ 4mph
1min @ 6.25mph
30 sec @ 4mph
x 3
30 sec 4mph to end..round it off to 10min

Superset
Wide grip pulldowns (D handles)
8 @ 66lb
8 @ 77lb x 2 sets

Seated rows - close grip
8 @ 44lb
8 @ 55lb x 2 sets

Straight arm pulldowns - wide grip
8 @ 66lb
8 @ 77lb x 3 sets

note: did the above SS with very little rest between rounds...

Treadmill
10 min @ 4.25mph ( hurting a fraction so left out running)

Superset

BB curls
8 @ 27.5lb
8 @ 33lb x 2 sets

Hammer curls
8 @ 13.2lb x 3 sets

decline DB press
8 @ 13.2lb x 3 sets

again, next to no time between rounds

Treadmill - 15min total
5 min @ 4mph
1min @ 6.25 (get heart rate back up)
9 min @ 4.2mph

post workout
Meal 2 - Protein shake with gatorade

NOTE: re diet. Last time I didn't have protein shakes as my mentor prefers whole foods only. This time I am keeping them in for now for two reasons at this point.
1: If I don't have it with meal 1 I have to have eggs...plus my eggs at night..too many eggs ends up with a very unpleasant result not sure if that's just my body not being able to process them well or a common thing..but if I can avoid it for now..all the better
2: gives me something to change in the diet if things slow down prior to having to drop carbs..want to keep as many carbs as I can in for as long as I can so I have the energy to do this plus run after my boys all day

Will plug diet details into Calorie king later on to get an idea of macros..

Couple ideas:

1. Swap the oats for fast-digesting carbs like a small piece of fruit or some Gatorade instead. Slow digesting oats aren't going to cut it to work with the T-rex in time. T-rex opens up in 10 minutes... that's your window. If the carbs you ate aren't digeste
