Yeah I think I'll hit the tanning bed tonight when I go back to the gym. I can't only tan at the beach anyway because I don't need a white rear when I get on stage in that tiny little suit. I debated wearing a thong when I lay out at my pool or the beach, but my daughters were like "Mom, you CAN'T do that....it would be TOO weird...." Lol. I guess it would be to them. So tanning beds will have to take the white off my posterior.

I am really feeling the heaviness of what I have decided to do (this comp) now. Up until this point, I have been working hard, but it hadn't really HIT me what I am going to be doing. I have to say, this really, really scares the hell outta me. I am not going trying to win, I just want to look like I belong on the stage. So I'm not afraid of losing. If I'm not ready by the contest date, I'll grab the next show and be ready for that one. So I'm not afraid of missing the deadline. I'm kicking my ass and doing well on diet and training, so I am not afraid I can't do this. I've been on stage infront of thousands of people before, so no stage fright. So, help me, what the hell am I scared of? I have no clue.

I was scared a bit too before I started my weeks out.. It was more of anticipation of what the weeks would bring, the training, the fatigue, the carb depletion, the extra tons of cardio and so forth - sorta like the unknown. It was something I never experienced before for such a huge event. YOU CAN DO THIS.... this will pass. There is no way you won't be ready in 14 weeks. You have been training so hard, heavy, changed that diet so much - you now revolve yourself around a new routine, counting #s of calories, hours of training, looking at that cardio equipment to see how much more time is left.. its all a cycle - its part of the journey.

This is why we and your family are here.. for encouragement - I have been in your shoes and you know what my journey starts over again and I feel that "scariness" coming back to me to get the best of me. I won't let it win...

Hon, you have nothing to worry about. Remember every where you go -- you stand out, this is next logical progression! Heck, remember the booty contest?
You do have the makings of a winner, get them damn tapes your mom put in your head out... you WILL do well and I BELIEVE you will place.

Besides you have the best cheerleaders on the Intertubes

You can do it sweetie... I believe in you.

Triv, don't get scared. You're gonna RAWK!!!!

You've got the mind, body, and heart of a competitor-- a good one at that. I know it's easy to hit these walls (hi, did you see my log last week? lol) but you just have to grit your teeth and climb over them. Don't let em stop you.

Don't let your head tell you that you can't do it when your heart knows you want to AND that you can.

I have nothing but total faith in you. You're gonna do great. Let go of the fear and jump in feet-first. You will conquer this.

Thank you sweetie, it does help knowing so many of you have gone before me and know what I am going through. I seriously have been on the verge of tears today, but in a good way almost. I am committed to this no matter how scary it gets, and regardless of where I need to be, the next thing to do is just take one more step. I need to keep the end goal in mind, but not freak out at the things I don't have to do yet...

Triv, snap out of it.

I just saw you -- just saw you.

Your ass is cute. You've put on the LBM. You can walk in heels. You've got the height and the hair that make you stand out immediately.

Do you have any idea how many women are, like, 4 weeks out from a show and don't have ANY of that going for them? Like, NONE of it! No exaggeration!

Your hard work is WORKING.
It's all mental, chica. ALL mental.

I got this feeling (and you can probably relate this to something else pretty recent in your life) that once you get proTanned and suit on and do the make-up trial at home and prance around a couple days before the show... girl, you're going to feel SO FREE and SO SEXY and that will radiate off of you.

Sure, you'll be nervous getting up on stage, everyone is (from what I hear -- hell, I get nervous on the first day of school, standing in front of 120 new kids! )

You learn the most from the things that scare you.

So far as I'm concerned -- you're fine. Snap out of it.

(And when I'm freaking out during my first cut and acting like a big you can be just as harsh with me. Kthanksbye.)
