Thanks, it's going well. I've really come a long way in my dependency on food, I can say that much.

What's really nice -- and I'm serious here -- is that now I'm enjoying going to Cheesecake Factory for the PEOPLE there just as much as the food. I mean, I just like that it's pretty food! Now that I've eaten, like, EVERYTHING there at least once... it's easy for me to go there and make better choices because there isn't that intrigue of "OOOOH! That sounds good! I wonder what that tastes like!" Don't know if that makes sense... but I've essentially taken a place of temptation and turned it into something I can totally handle.

the thing I have learned is that if I am craving white chocolate and who in their right mind wouldn't I just have to have a square or two..hmm ok maybe three to satisfy the craving..not the whole dam block

I know for my sanity I have to at least have one cheat meal a week for as close to the comp as I can get away with it..for pure sanity. I have a husband and two kids who are not on a comp diet..so not like I can avoid food I shouldn't have helps keeps me honest the rest of the week anyway

Looking good girl

I'm glad you are so excited. The great thing is that you are preparing yourself now for your tough work in the future. Just don't forget you have all of us here for you too

That is soooooo in the forefront of my mind as well. I love the square of chocolate idea! I wouldn't want to get carried away with that or become dependent on that immediately, but desperate times call for semi-desperate measures!

And I will have to cook 2 separate meals: one for me and one for the boys. THAT will be my biggest challenge because I'm a damn good cook -- and oftentimes the fastest things I can whip up for them are simply going to be foods I will not have in my plan.

HA -- my own cooking might be my cheat meal. Oh gawd.

True! What I'll be doing is as close to competition-type as I've ever been, so that's going to be a struggle... but I might be leniant with salt here and there... and obviously keep a treat for me somewhere for my sanity since, truly, I'm not a stage chick so I don't have to be 100% balls-out.

Just, like... 95%

Thanks! And I'm looking forward to it sheerly for the possible results that will come of it.

Trivial really inspired me here -- she struggles with her extreme love of food but as she'd visit and eat what's on her plan, she just kept saying, "I can't wait to see what's under all this fluff". THAT was her driving force and I really loved that attitude she kept about it.

So that's what I plan to focus on. Want the body more than the food.

Since we're on the topic, I also like a little of that lower belly padding.

Great workout yesterday, Cakers. Dramatic difference in those pics in only a few short days. Big things on the near term horizon for ya.

Thanks, I'm trying this new routine on for size when I don't have a class day. My knees are very creak-y the last couple days so I stuck with the treadmill walk and the elliptical to ease up a bit.

Going to Spin here in half an hour, so that'll help me ease up on my knee too. My knees love Spinning class.

Exactly, you are such a pro when it comes to that specifically.

And I hear you on the healthier tasting better than the not-so-much. I've been surprised at that lately. I crave yogurt/flax/fruit parfaits and I turn my nose up an SF Jell-o puddings, which I was addicted to. I'm shifting... but some things just ALWAYS sound really good (like chocolate... or pizza... or nachos... )
