Synopsis
I’ve been in some discomfort for the past few days. Aches & pains. My forearms were really pumped doing the OHP. My abs have been sore, too. Not sure if it’s from all the shovelling, or I’m coming down with something again.

Water: 4.5 litres.
Get some rest you might be overtrained. Shoveling snow is no joke. Pound the fluids (piss whatever it is outta ya in case it is a bug), and take the vit c like CK told ya.
get better bud.

The greys I have an issue with! When I had my first kid at 20 my hair turned grey, and I have been dying it ever since. I find grey hair on men sexy! Wrinkles I don't have any problems with.

Fat Slayer Program

Week 2, Workout 3
14.3.08

Start 16:45, finish 17:50.

I took extra time to rest between working sets, due to my aches & pains.

Dead Lift: 1 RM - 465, 5 RM – 405
10 X 85
10 X 170
5 X 245, started straps here. I just had no grip strength today.
5 X 5 X 325
11 X 240

No grip strength today. For some reason my forearms where just baked after the pull ups at work.
Enlighten the people, generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like spirits at the dawn of day. – Thomas Jefferson

Push Press: 1 RM - 185, 5 RM – 170
10 X 40
10 X 70
5 X 120
5 X 5 X 155
8X120

I think I figured out my aches and pains are a result of my last time with this exercise. My wrists, forearms, shoulders, and abs/obliques. Probably from trying to go a little too heavy with a new move. Getting the leg drive each time was tough. Getting the weight up when the leg drive was lacking, stabilizing the weight, and lowering it under control, all contributed to uncommon stresses.
This time I lowered the weight a tad.

I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. – Thomas Jefferson

B.B. Rows: 1 RM - 240, 5 RM – 210
10 X 50
10 X 80
5 X 120
5 X 5 X 165
12 X 130

Lotsa back work. I needs it.
Say nothing of my religion. It is known to God and myself alone. Its evidence before the world is to be sought in my life: if it has been honest and dutiful to society the religion which has regulated it cannot be a bad one. – Thomas Jefferson

Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call on her tribunal for every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear. – Thomas Jefferson

There are so many excellent Thomas Jefferson quotes, but I can’t log them all.

Synopsis
Good workout. Felt good getting this in. It seems I have less & less time for anything these days.
After the thread on Weightlifting & cals burned, I decided to check my expenditure with my Polar HR moniter.
592 Cals, Max HR 153(87%), Avg HR 112(64%)

Water, 5.0 litres.

Complex

15.3.08
40 mins, including cool down. Tread is separate.

8 reps of each exercise, only resting enough for reracking the bar, with a set of ab work & 1 minute rest =1 round. Well, that’s the theory, anyways. I tried to do 10 reps instead of 8. Halfway through the 3rd round I was resting for 10ish seconds between exercises. 6 rounds this time, but after the 4th I had to take a break & gor on the , cause I almost dropped the bar doing hang cleans.
Exercises:
Squats,
OHP,
Deadlift,
Flat Bench Press,
BB Rows,
Pull Downs,
Alternate shitty hang cleans with GMs.

80 lbs.
I also did 6 sets of 15 incline sit ups between the working sets, for a total of 90.
So, even though I didn’t work at it steady, this’s what I got. 375 cals in 40 mins. Starting HR was 79, Max HR 159(91%), Avg HR 127(73%)
Tread, 5 mins, 2.0 – 3.5 mph, incline 5.0 deg. 56 cals. Max HR 136(78%), Avg HR 126(72%)

Synopsis
Wow, that was tough. It’s been a while since I did this. I could barely get up the stairs after, I was so beat. Had supper after a rest & I fell asleep on the couch, after. Never felt like that before.

Water, 4.5 litres.
