Default How to lower testosterone levels before a blood test?

Last time I received a blood test for testosterone, my levels came back at 391, which is pretty low for my age and lifestyle. However, it's basically right on the borderline for treatment (which is between 250-350).

If I have to go back for another blood test, I'd like to lower my testosterone levels as much as possible so the doctor can't say something like "Well, your levels are low, but technically within the normal range, so I have no idea whether treating you would be appropriate" which is essentially what one endo said last time.

I'm not looking to be put on TRT, I actually just want to try to raise my levels naturally, but I do want to make sure I am treated next time I go in.

I know that low sleep / low calories will do it... anything else I can do?

if you tell your doc you feel like shit, are tired and have ZERO libido, and he still doesnt treat you, hes an idiot.

391 might be very low for one person, and perfectly normal for another....if you are symptomatic, its low for you.

THe treatment will probably be clomid for a month at 25-50mg ed...if that doesnt work, he will put you on hcg (if you object to trt or want kids one day)...otherwise its trt

Yes, booze heavy the night before, smoke some trees (if you can get your hands on it), try to sleep as little as possible, and eat a big breakfast before you go in for the test. I'm serious.

Ricorico: I agree re: finding a doc who will treat given these symptoms.

I don't have any gear and don't drink, but I can do the big breakfast thing... what is the rationale behind that sims?

Do some research... everything I have just listed has been proven to reduce serum testosterone. T fluctuates throughout the day, I'm talking big swings. Thats why you're going to be asked to do it 1st thing in the am, most likely on an empty stomach. Drinking the night before increases aromatase which decreases testosterone.

Oh and as for a big breakfast, a jump in insulin can cause a decrease in natural test and gh production.

I don't know that one bake session will do much to lower test levels.

And test levels don't swing as huge as some people will lead ya to believe......they fall off as the day goes on..

    In my experience anyways
.......I think taking the test late in the day is the best option. My docs never made me do it first thing in the morning. So hopefully that's what happens here

you might not drink, but maybe you should indulge in a few one night just for this purpose. If you want it bad enough, it might be worth it.
