Default Nonfat GREEK yogurt from Costco is the shit!

I'm not real big on yogurts for the most part, and the one's I do like i'm tired of.....BUT,

The Nonfat Greek yogurt they have at Costco (i'm sure it's widely available) is the shit!

I never really paid attention to this stuff, but it has nearly 3x the amount of protein per serving than regular yogurts. Having 20'ish grams of protein per cup is great!

I should add this to the diet thread...

A cup or two of this stuff with a scoop or two of whey isolate is great and provides a ton of protein and just moderate amounts of carbs. The whey protein powder mixes much better with this stuff than other regular yogurts too, which is a plus.

You can also add in some sugar-free pudding or splenda with it to sweeten it to your tastes

I think NF ricotta cheese with some splenda in it blews the pants of greek yogurt taste wise. I think it's higher in protein and lower in carbs too.

I'll have to look into that one too, thanks!

I don't care so much for the yogurt plain, but after the protein is mixed in, it is great. I like that it is a thicker consistency too, and not all watery/runny like some of the other yogurts.

The thing I didn't like about greek yogurt is that it has like a sour tang to it. The ricotta is THICK and taste good even without splenda.

I just left a warehouse store here and saw in their coupons they carry the Chobiani brand of Greek yogurt. Chobiani brand is cheaper and gram-for-gram beats out the Fage brand any day.

I agree -- good stuff, and can't beat the price.

I do add Splenda to mine, though... or some berries from the freezer that I thaw a bit (b/c the juices from the berries mix in the yogurt well).

In our grocery chain, I saw the Oikos but never bought it b/c either a) it was pricier than the Fage (before Chobiani came around) or b) it wasn't as nutritionally appealing as the Fage was. For some reason I passed on that...
