I will officially never EVER workout in anything else but these ever again!! I take them off for deadlifts, but boy is squatting a breeze in these bad boys!! Squatting was something I did lots of, but it never quite felt right for me. My lower back is very flexible but I have tight(ish) hamstrings). This would cause my butt to sort of 'tuck under' me when I hit the bottom of a squat and my torso had a slight lean to it because my achilles tendon was tight so my knees couldn't travel far enough over my knees to keep me upright and I used to squat with a slightly wider stance so I would 'sit between my legs'.
But not anymore - I stay upright, my form feels textbook and I can squat in a narrower stance with my hammies touching my calves and knees tracking over my feet properly. I was unsure if I should get them as £80 is a fair amount of money. But it has been the most worthwhile investment I've ever made since I started lifting. If anyone is thinking about buying a pair - do it. Now |

i hope you are doing additional ankle mobility as well as other bodypart mobility work to compensate for using OL shoes. theyre not exactly the best shoes to maintain or improve flexibility, as they act as a 'bandaid' to pre existing issues that you must fix.
