Who the clients of the agency are Mine is a non exclusive contract. While it's a decent sized agency, it was only formed in 1996. It's pretty new. So they won't necessarily get a ton of work from HUGE clients. It can happen once in awhile. But my agency knows it would be silly to expect me to ONLY try to be represented by them if I could possibly get more work through other agencies too. Exclusive contracts usually come from the big dogs. Also? A lot of girls lie about being models. lol Either that or they end up in the scam-type agencies where you have to shell out 500-1000 bucks before they work with you/get you work. Whaddaboolshit. Next time a girl says "IM A MODEL" and you're like "sure you are", ask her for her card and her agent's card. Or a ZED card. If she's legit she can tell you the agency, her agent's name, and will have her agent's card on her... or a business card of her own with her agent's contact number on it

I've got a lot of bullshit offers in the last month. lol I declined an agency the week of my show because they were seriously a BRAND NEW agency with next to no clientele and they represented a handful of gaunt/waify looking runwayish kind of chicks. ANd all their stuff has been ads for local clubs. You know... like how when you go out and people put those laminated cards on your car that have the drink specials and a hot chick on it? Crap like that. Not the image or work I'm aiming for. Guy from a fitness company found me on there and asked if I'd be interested in paid fitness model work. We talked on the phone, he referred me to the agency he normally uses (they didn't have a brunette fitness model on their books that he wanted to work with) and they signed me tonight. Paid shoots start next month. It's not a huge place, but it's a good place to start and they have a lot of work available for me to do since the agent who now represents me thinks I'm marketable to other areas of advertising aside from fitness (glam/commercials/skin care, etc) I just haven't talked about it much to most people cuz I will never take myself seriously as a model and I'm afraid people will think I'm a snot. It's all just dress-up. Now it's just paid dress-up. lol
