It's funny, but my parents where quite open about it, around the time we were 10. They didn't do it in the open, but they weren't shy about why they were in bed so early.
Hence their noises didn't gross us out by the time we actually had an understanding of it.
We are all sexdual creatures, so we should accept that our parents, GROWN children & siblings are all bumping uglies.

We had a 1 bedroom apartment until I finished 2nd grade. I used to wake up to them "wrestling" a lot.

It had to have sucked for them trying to be quiet and find some alone time. Especially for my mom, as I found out later, she is quite loud when she doesnt think anyone can hear her.

I actually had the talk with my daughter who is very tall and very wise for her age. She got to see first hand what a sex act looked like (between animals) at a bbq at a friends house.

She gasped and said "daddy daddy..that little dog just put his thang thang in the other dog"!! All my guy and girlfriends looked and laughed....and she was still bewildered like..."whats soo funny"?

Now she knows that Daddy is much more agreeable after he spends alone time with her mommie... I explained that the technical side and then I explained that its important that we spend time like that together. She also figured out that if she asks for stuff after "we do it" more then likely she will get it cause mommy and daddy are agreeable to just about everything.
