What books have you read or are reading that you like?

I just started reading "The Places In Between" by Rory Stewart. It details his walk across Afghanistan in 2002 after the fall of the Taliban. It's very interesting so far.

I also love biographies, and just bought one on Teddy Roosevelt, but haven't got to it yet.

For my novel reading I go more for thrillers / mysteries. Some of my favorite authors include.

Brad Meltzer
Stuart Woods
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels
And just recently read a book by Randy Wayne White.

Night stand waiting to be read:

Star Wars: Allegiance by Timothy Zahn
The Bourne Legacy by Robert Ludlum
a couple others

I finish a book about every other week .....

I read anything that looks interesting when walking through Barnes and Noble .....

The last few year's I've really been into travel and adventure books.

I've been into biographies lately. I like the inspiration they provide. I last read "Buffet: The Making of an American Capitallist" and it was fascinating. Buffet is quite a unique indvidual to say the least. Dude was living off of his 50K/year salary while he was worth hundreds of millions of dollars. As of the time the book was written (mid-90's) he had not sold a single share of Berkshire Hathaway.

I'm reading a biography on Lincon at the moment called "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln". It's very good (and it makes me sick when I think of the state of politics today vs. back then, though there are certainly common threads as well), but I'm barely reading 20 pages a week lately

I recently finished The Nasty Bits by Anthony Bourdain.

If you're interested in personal growth I would highly recommend The Road Less Traveled by Scott Peck. It is a great book IMO as far as dealing w/ life's problems that hit us on a continual basis. It's an easy read and will keep you interested. He really puts things into perspective. Not sure if you have kids but this book is a must for parents. My mom gave me a copy when I graduated highschool and told me to read it. I've read it 3 times since then. It was one the best things she's done for me.

I am currently reading:

'The Biology of Belief' by Bruce Lipton - This book help explain in layman's terms why you are not limited by your genes.. I am a testament to that so happy to read that it can be explained. Makes me want to read more about this, Ahhh I MISS BIOLOGY....

Will Read:
'A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose' by Eckhart Tolle

Perhaps even The Power of Now, his other work.

Future:

Looking for a few good books on Quantum Physics... lol

This looks like it's next in the list of to do's in the next few months as well.

'The Genie in Your Genes: Epigenetic Medicine and the New Biology of Intention' by Dawson Church

I used to read a lot of Dan Brown (i.e. Da Vinci Code fame), Anne Rice (i.e Interview w/ the Vampire etc), James Patterson, Tess Gerritson ...

How to fall out of love, by Dr. Debora Phillips, and Robert Judd-not a novel

Read broken by Bill Moyer’s son, and the recent one about Afghanistan, it was made into a movie, kids from different classes and flying kites the book was good and so was the movie,

Sorry I will take a nap and post the title, it is a book I would recommend,

Its about thinking positive and thinking of the good things you want to happen and that by doing so they will happen. Its states that by thinking negatively then bad things will happen. Interesting read anyway.

Great quotes in there.

The subject matter material was basically taken from the Abraham Hicks books and put into a different marketable format.

If you want to read further into The Law of Attraction, the Hicks have been dealing with it since the 80's. I absolutely love all of their books and audios.

The Secret Video Is a great start down that road, but definitely missing a whole lot of important pieces.
