UFC 90 Good to see Thiago Alves back

Few more fights have been announced for UFC 90 now
Diego Sanchez vs Thiago Alves After the Hughes fight i'll look for Alves to totally maul Diego .... all good though i never liked Sanchez anyway.

Thales Leites vs Goran Reljic
I'd rather watch either of these 2 fights then the main event sp hopefully they can stack a few more decent undercard fights on here.

Sweet!! Oh ya, Alves vs Sanchez should be good!! I personally think people are too hard on Sanchez. I like him and think he has really proven he is re-dedicated and deserves a fair shot. I don't dislike Alves but will most likely root for the nightmare on this match up... It should be a good fight and its a pretty even match up although on paper Alves probaby edges him out.
Did Goran drop a weight class or did Thales go up.. or am I just thinking something else??

diego is just a weird guy. I like the guy but he thinks hes the shit and hes not. He has a hot ass girlfriend tho. Got to give a guy props for that.

After he physically dominated Hughes i just think Alves will be too strong and physically dominate for Sanchez. I also dont see Sanchez getting it to the ground which is IMO where his only real chance lies.

His hands have gotten alot better, he doesnt need them to really hurt Alves (which he could, he does hit hard ex joe riggs) but to set up his takedown. As long as his oppnents know he has stand up in his arsenal they wont only be looking for a takedown.

I wouldn't even know how to call that match-up. My first instinct is Alves, but heck, I don't know really. I'll probably go with Alves I guess...lol!

Rising 155-pound star Tyson Griffin will put his four fight winning streak on the line at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois on October 25th when he squares off against his most accomplished foe to date, former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk, in a key matchup on the UFC 90 main card.

Tickets for UFC 90, which features the UFC middleweight title bout between champion Anderson Silva and challenger Patrick
Cote, as well as a welterweight battle between Thiago Alves and Diego Sanchez, are on sale now.

Las Vegas’ Griffin has been nearly perfect in his UFC stint, going 5-1 since making his Octagon debut in 2006. Among his victims are Clay Guida, Thiago Tavares, Gleison Tibau, and most recently, Marcus Aurelio. In Sherk, Griffin will be taking on a nine year veteran of the sport who is looking to get back in the win column after a loss to BJ Penn in their UFC 84 title fight in May.

Also added to the UFC 90 card is a battle for Brazilian bragging rights when Fortaleza’s Hermes Franca takes on Rio Grande Norte’s Gleison Tibau in a lightweight bout, and a clash of former Ultimate Fighter alumni between season two’s Josh Burkman and season four’s Pete Sell, who will be making his welterweight debut in the UFC’s initial foray into the Windy City.

I just heard about that yesterday.. I love Silva but don't see Cote as much of a threat, so now the best fight on the card is going to be Griffin/Sherk!!!! OH MAN, I've been waiting for this day.. It's gonna be war!!!!!!! I feel like a kid at Christmas!!

The return of a heavyweight contender, a Brazilian turf war, and two crossroads battles in the 155-pound weight class highlight the final four bouts signed, sealed, and delivered for October 25th’s UFC 90 event at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

In heavyweight action to be aired on UFC 90’s pay-per-view telecast, Fabricio Werdum will look to keep the momentum going from his back-to-back TKO wins over Gabriel Gonzaga and Brandon Vera when he battles Octagon newcomer Junior “Cigano” dos Santos, winner of six out of seven pro bouts who has never let one of his victims out of the first
round.

Before the main card begins, fans at the Allstate Arena will be treated to three outstanding lightweight preliminary bouts, headed up by the clash between Marcus Aurelio and Hermes Franca. Not only do both standouts hail from the same city in Brazil – Fortaleza – but they are former teammates now doing battle in the Octagon in order to keep their title dreams alive.

Two of the division’s top young talents will also be in action, taking on veteran contenders looking to halt their rise up the ranks.
