Default Looking forward to next TUF season.

Has anyone else heard anything further on the next TUF season. Word has it that Frank Mir and Nogeira are the 2 coaches . Good and bad of course because as much as i want to see Big Nog coach ... it does ice the heavyweight division for damn near a year while the show runs .

I don't mind Mir coaching the next season but giving him a title shot after the season is over is crazy since there are a few guys ahead of him that deserves a title shot. Werdum comes to mind.

Hmmmm, not sure on Mir and Nog but I do know that two guys from my team auditioned for next season and they are casting light heavies I believe. Both guys cut to 205 for the auditions. I believe the final audition rounds for the new season are happening right now, so they should start shooting very soon. That's about all I know. I do love mir though

What is there to like about Mir exactly? Just wondering? Washed up and out of shape is the best way to describe that fatbody IMO...

That's just wrong..lol.. Well, 1) He comes from a wrestling background like myself, Neveda State Champ. 2) He's a brilliant Jiu Jitsu technician.. pretty amazing actually. 3) He's a comeback story.. lost the HW title to a motor cycle accident is now trying to comeback from that terrible accident. What's there not to like about that

I think they got Mir in there because they can market him to the US fans. Where as Werdum struggles with english a little . Very light division on talent at the moment anyway .

I agree the HW division is thin, that's why I'm glad they added Carwin and Velasquez. Dana stated that if Bigfoot Silva wins his last fight with EliteXC , they will actively pursue him. Kongo vs Bigfoot is something I'd like to see. It wouldn't hurt them too if they added Barnett and Mark Hunt.

Yep, it was confirmed the other day... Mir are Nog and the next coaches and it will be Light-Heavies and Lightweights squaring off... they also confimed Mir's chance to fight Nog as well. Wow.
They usually wait and announce it specially at some event. Hmmmm....
..and Nog barely speaks let alone the fact that he can hardly speak english. Wonder how they'll pull that off. Alot of folks will be pissed Mir is getting a shot at him..

Yeah, I'm not too keen on Mir getting a title shot even if he was a former Champ. Werdum should get it next, or bring in Brad Imes or Pedro Rizzo or Bigfoot Silva, there are a lot of option for Dana and the UFC.
