Indeed You Are Powerful..

Congrats. Going from 200 to 300 is harder than going from 300-400 ... so they say anyway.
Start headin towards 405, forget 315 - it'll come n go.

Awsome job! There are some freaks on this board that push some insane weights but 300lbs puts you officially in the "that dude is strong" catagory. I'd set your sights on 365 and try to bang that out every couple of weeks just to get used to the load and then drop to 315 and guaranteed you'll push that up. Or go with some variation of a 5x5 to hit that 315 number. Again, congrats on the new PR - be proud of that one bro.

i dont know your current level of work capacity so i cannot say. i will say that you must reproduce your performance as often as possible to reinforce and stabilize your current level of physical ability.

Thanks guys. This really means a lot to me! I appreciate all the comments.
I am doing the 5x5 now. I love it. About a month ago I was doing the 5x5 with 250. Then I hurt some ribs on a dirt bike which dropped me back to 225 and lots of pain. My last round was at 235 so Friday I'm jumping to 240. I don't think I'll have a problem with that, but I'm pissed that I lost the weight. However, I just picked up a power rack so I'm going to be able to go heavier now that I have a safty catch for the bench. The only thing I had before was my wife ![]() And I don't trust her with that much weight on my chest. I can now train until failure with bench press. What would you guys suggest for a time frame to hit 315? 1 month, 2 months, or??? I've never been in this range before, so I don't know when to set the goal. On a side note, I'm not taking anything other than protein and creatine. Thanks again. |
