Default Lol @ some peoples idea of dieting

This kid comes to me at the gym wanting to get "cut". You know, should he take Hydroxy cut or Xenadrine kinds of questions. I tell him diet will be the biggest part he can change by eating clean w/ healthier choices. He starts off by telling me what he doesn't like and he can't do this and can't do that. So after a while I just give him a list I've comprised of good proteins, carbs, and fats. I tell him to try and eat from this list. He came back the other day somewhat bragging how he went to Church's Chicken and ate 3 pcs. of chicken but he did leave off the honey mustard and ranch dip. Like that's going to do it. I had to laugh at him on the spot. some people just don't get it you know? This is the same mind set of ordering a dbl. cheesburger but only getting a small fry and diet coke to go with it. That's their idea of dieting.

MOST people don't get it! These days so many are raised up on McD. Happy Meals and frozen dinners.

Yeah, fried chicken. Hell, I love fried chicken also but it's not too conducive for cutting, lol.

That's why when people approach me I usually just listen to what they're doing and say "yeah that's pretty much what I do" and walk away.

Good! I usually just order the Double Cheeseburger (so I have less bread [carbs] and more meat [protein], skip the french fries, and get a poweraid.

At least I'M eating healthy!

Everyone knows that the small fry and diet coke isn't a good idea.

Now if I could just find a pill to take care of this last few inches on my waist...

There is SOO much truth to this statement. And it's only going to get worse in the next 10 years as more kids who are raised this way go out on their own and carry on these bad habits.

That's usually the starting question 1) Which is better - hydroxycut or xenadrene and then 2) Are protein shakes safe?

But then if you ask people what they eat on a regular day and the response is full fast food & they are essentially nutritionally starved. And yes, the whole list of what they can't or won't eat. After going thru competition prep several times, I have no sympathy for people who won't change their eating habits but bitch constantly about their weight. If I can shovel down boiled chicken w/ flax seed oil on it, they can clean up the fast food or live w/ a cup of butter on everything. Otherwise fuck 'em.

Makes you want to fucking tear your eyes out sometimes. This is a big reason I just don't talk to people (including my parents) about dieting anymore. Unless I get a specific question from someone who appears to be serious about it, I don't even bring it up.

Hahaha! I had a guy ask me if I competed in bbing- I said "yes" - his response was "you must eat a lot of salads?"

I looked at him and replied "do I look like a rabbit too you?"

Well who are kids going to trust these days? Are they going to believe that scary guy with all his talk of doom and gloom who always wants to stick needles in you and make you do things you don't want to do or that friendly clown who is always so happy and nice to you and even appears at Disney?

If Ronald says adding a salad is healthy then a lot of kids are going to believe it. Maybe health advisors need to put in a little work on their marketing. There could be a market there for some celebrity or athlete to market healthy choices to kids.

My nickname at work is The Food Nazi. The best thing I've heard recently was when the lady bought junk food out of the vending machine while I was warming up my chicken and told me she was eating it to prevent her sugar from dropping too low before lunch. (I didn't ask about the item, she volunteered the information.)

The problem was that she was in the breakroom sitting with her friends eating lunch. (I'm still having a problem with the math on that one.)
