SO! I need some snack ideas for my meals plans that are rather filling. I usually get hungrey about every 3 hours or so and my day starts at Seven-Thirty.
I'm going with High Carbs and Cals, because I'm attempting to bulk and grow mass wise. Also, any ideas pertaining to post workout meals would be awesome as well! Thank you guys! Matt~

At your age you should eat anything you can get your hands on. With your stats and goals I would be:
Drinking a gallon of whole milk every day Eating loads of red meat As many eggs as I could afford Drinking milkshakes Eating McDonalds Etc Etc Chicken, Veggies, and such WILL NOT make you strong or big. Period. Just my .02 IMO |

There is a recipe of this guys here in the recipe section that shows him makin a bunch of chickn thighs on a pizza tray that look sooo soo delicious - i could eat them all day. I could seriously eat 10-12 of them

Yeah, I can't down junk food, because my metabolism SUCKS. I work my ass off for were I'm at lol! But, yeah I'm getting there Thanks for the input!

Most supermarkets carry those pop top tiny tuna cans and white chicken breast chunks that are very decent and high in protein for such a small amount of food and no carbs. When I am on the road a lot, a bag of beef jerkey strips is good with a big bottled water for a good snack. (i know , it's so expensive for these bags). Maybe just plan ahead and cut some fruit up and have it in your fridge in tuperware containers becasue that is ultra expensive buying fruit salad anywhere. Raw almonds are a great snack too to pick at. Maybe just try to have as much balance as possible. Plus you want to eat some things you at least like, it's hard to be consistently eating foods that you hate just becasue they are good for you, you'll end up reaching for more crap foods in the long run that way.

Eight years ago, I'd have told you to man up and cook yourself a pound of bacon and wash it down with a six pack, but these days, things are different.
If you want some high carbs and cals quick, check out Quaker Chewy Granola Bars... at 100 cals, and 18g of carbs per bar, you can't go wrong. |
