I do not compete as a BBer, but implement lots of there ideas into my personal goals,
I'm looking to drop 15kg as fast and effective as possible, I've come across many different strategies to get the weight off so my question is what is the most effective? Low carb? traditional Keto? CKD? UD2? ect ect obviously not 1 right answer, as everyone is different, But I'd love to hear everyone's personal opinion and experiences.. |

Hard to say which is the "best". Different things work for different people. The difference is usually going to be how consistent you are - i.e. there's no room for cheat meals, etc. and supporting it w/ changing up your diet & cardio towards more higher aerobic activity - again very specific to the person but generally a "pre comp diet" works because the whole program is being dialed in at the same time.

I'm not a bodybuilder either.
I've been trying to lose body fat for a while now. I've tried simple calorie counting for 6 months, and I recently tried a ckd for four weeks, and I'm going back on it now that I'm over my recent illness. Both of them worked for weight loss (about 1.5lbs a week), but the ckd was better for body fat loss for me, although that may be because I'm much more inclined to eat more than an adequate amount of protein, which I'd often go light on with just counting calories. But with the ckd, I felt really, really good while in ketosis (sleeping better, more energetic in the short term, though stamina was down, better mood) and didn't feel deprived because of the carb up day (which was really just a massive cheat day leaning towards carbs for me). The only problem with the latter for me is that it's hard to find low carb foods when you go out to dinner. Also, I actually went up in weightlifting for the first three weeks on my ckd, which again probably had to do with getting a lot more protein than I'm used to. |

Id have to know all your history, stats, what you're doing, what you've done (both training and food), how'd it work, what didn't work, injuries, your ssn, first grade teacher...
![]() The list my coach gave me was like a novel but his plan was completely personalized to me. I try to do the same for others, like sass said, not one size fits all. I am weary of anyone that approaches it like that as well. |

Thanks for the responses,
A little about my self ![]() 27yrs old 98kg 218lbs?? 6 1" BF% unknown on the higher end 17-18% Training 9-10years mainly strength training, though the last few years have been more BBing orientated, SSN ![]() I currently do a 4x week weight regimen each body part 2x a week, Which works well for me. Cardio is done after Weight days low intensity 30-45min. In the past my diet has been pretty consistent, but I change my Fat and Carb ratios every day, I seem to do well with 250g protein a day and then alternate Fats and carbs to get around 3000cals the above numbers seem to maintain weight well for me, In the past I have just achieve my weight loss goals with lots of cardio on a low cal high protein diet, But have noticed I loose a lot of muscle this way. I'm thinking this time around giving traditional keto a run, As I recently tried lyle's Version of the PSMF and low fat dose not really work for me, So I'm thinking a almost 0 carb high fat and protein diet might be the better approach for me, Some time ago I did get my metabolic typing test done and I seem to be a more suited High protein and fats person. Please let me know if I left anythin out or is there is any other info you's need. |

Try a ckd. It works well for everyone I've put on it. You'll have to do plently of reading on it though. Sorry I don't have time to write the whole thing out. It's very detailed.
