Competed in 2006 ( 1rst in southern AB and 2nd in the province lw.. yes I am a canuck)and 2007 ( 10th in the nationals in lw and 13th in masters)... 2007 was a trying year for me... I gained unwanted weight the latter part of the year OnJan 1 , I weighed in at 144.4 lbs.. ouch This morning I came in at 134 lbs My goal is to reach 122 lbs by June... Eventhough I qualified for the Nationals I have decided I am not competing this year... My goal is to feel good and be in shape... I have been carb cycling.. 3 days low carbs.. one day carb spike with one day off per week which coincides with a high carb day.... My job has put a lot of stress on me as we are very short handed and my time is very limited.... Workouts.... I am attempting 4 sessions of 30 minutes of cardio per week and 4 sessions of 30-45 minutes of resistance training.... I will try and keep the log updated as best as I can Todays food- 1 whole egg w/ 5 egg whites, spinach and low fat feta cheese omellete 1 yogurt 1 chicken breast with green beans beef jerky bb steak 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter work out- 30 minutes eliptocal chest- 3 x 8 incline dumbell press ( 35 lbs x 2) 3 x 8 lying dumbell flies ( 20 lbs x 2) superset pec dec- 3 x 8 reps right arm only , 3 x8 reps left arm only ( 75 lbs) , 3 x 8 reps both arms - 85 lbs ( pretty fatigued by this point) with lying incline alternating machine at 30 lbs.. 3 x 8 sets.. each arm alternating with speed.... cable cross overs- 3 sets x 8 - 45 lbs Later ![]() |

Sounds like priorities are in order & back in control! You go girl! Its good to take time off - those national shows are not a small deal and I think the beating our bodies take can be a little more than we think sometimes. Does not hurt to get back to "life" and deal w/ it every now & then!

![]() ![]() Yesterday was argg... crazy at work... diet stayed nicely...same as the previous day workout- only got 20 minutes of eliptical in Today - day off.... no workout... my chest is freaking sore... I added some pushups till failure on 10 lbs dumbells to the workout as well.. Ate.. well like a cow today..lol ...had a nice sanwich with crusty bread , feta cheese, smoked chicken.... and veggies yum , yum .. tonight some pizza.. Yes, I don't deny on my day off but I don't go supernuts Funny is I always feel gasy with the foods form days off.. ![]() |

Nothing like failing a few times to piss you off enough to maybe make it stick ...fawk!!!!!
Here I go again... Between the stresses of life and work at this time my time is quite limited so I tried to make the most out of my work out today..... Today's focus was on form, speed and powering through...to make this weight work out an aerobic one as well , keeping my heartrate going throughout the work out..... rest between sets limited to 15 seconds maximum Total workout time; 30 minutes -3 sets x 8 of glute/hamstring extensions holding 25 lbs weight- -superset lunges onto 6 inch board with 30 lbs barbell/ straight leg deadlift with 50 lbs barbell/ good mornings with 50 lbs barbell... 3 sets x 8 reps -superset one legged romanian deadlift w/ 2x 20 lbs dumbells/ one legged squat w/ 2x20 lbs dumbells- 3 sets each x 8 reps each leg -side squat on stability ball holding 25 lbs dumbell- 3 sets x 8 reps each leg -5 minute fast hike on treadmill at 15 degree incline Done... Diet is always good... just gotta work on those weekends Today- 5 egg whites/one whole omega 3 egg/ spinach/low fat feta cheese omelet 2 low fat yogurts chicken/green pepper/sun dried tomatoe/chilis medley 3 peperoni sticks salmon w/ green beans one tablesppon natural peanut butter |
