I just read t-cake's story and inspired me to write mine:wiggle:
Last November I was 200-205 at about 10-12% bf, and that's when everything went to hell. I was in a serious car accident in december, sliding into the ditch backwards at 90. The car did 3 or 4 end-over-end backflips, landing roughly 40 feet in the brush, quite a ways down from where it slid in. People in their houses watching TV about 300m away said they heard it and called 911:lol: I crawled over the front seats and pulled myself out of the rear driver side door (only one that would open) and walked to the road. Man I was pissed, mostly because I just put new $160 "halogen" headlights in a couple days earlier.
Anyway, it truned out I had compressed the T12 vertabrae into the L1, resulting in a 17 degree forward and 16 degree left curvature at the joint, like a mild scoliosis. The doctor said the curvature was not cureable and I wouldn't beable to play sports or workout heavy ever again, and was surprised no other ligaments or tendons were damaged on the spinal column.
I spent 4 weeks in bed , 3 months in a backbrace, and another 3 in physio.
Rather then take the doc's advice, I started doing core work and light full body workouts everyday when i got the brace off in may, along with core stretches 4+ times a day(especially convave stretches) and core stability exercises twice daily. When I went back to the doc in August, he said he didn't know how(:wallbash:) but there was no left curvature and only 4 degrees forward, basicly non-existent.
I went from 200, to 165 at 15% bf. In late september, I started a simple 500mg/w test cycle, which turned into a 200mg/w hrt in december.
So, here's a few current pics at about 180 pounds. I would be 190 or more by now, but my SO refuses to let me get out of training for an upcoming marathon with her.:(

As a note, this isn't meant to be a sob story, but more of don't give up on your goals just because of a doc's opinion, kind of thing.
