grrrrr... although we had a great session, looking at the pics proves practice will be all I will do moving forward, lol.
There were pics of some other poses, but I don't like the way they came out, so I will only share a few.
Don't kill the newb here :) I will strengthen them with everyday that I hit.
Man I need to tan :sadwavey: and have to get used to having my hair up, grrr!

Great start WW! You have such a great natural look.
You and your coach will find the best tweaks to show it off! :)

You will always be your own worst critic, I assure you.
The side tricep shot looks impressive for sure!
My only real recommendation would be to wear the smaller, tighter shorts for all your future pics!:flowers::cuddle::naughty:

Looks great for the first session!
I'm gonna throw some suggestions that are things to consider going forward and I totally understand that this is a process of getting familiar w/ and owning these poses....
Rear dbl bi -- upper body looks fantastic! Good symmetry in the shoulders & great detail showing in your back! Might suggest trying different placements of your leg more out to the side than straight back. When you step back to set up for the pose, plant your rear toe like you're crushing out a cigarette and establish a solid base to hit your pose on. It is not uncommon to transition directly into a rear lat so you want a solid base that won't wobble when you have to hold the pose for a while. And that leg is your chance to show off your glute, ham & calf development so use it to your advantage. It is so important to remember that the pose is a whole body pose - just because its a focus on the upper body does NOT mean that you can forget the lower half and just stick a leg out for craps & giggles. Use the whole pose to your advantage.
side chest - I"d stick your chest up & out a little more... this is a tough one to really show off everything you've got with. Even though the leading body part is your bicep, that particular pose doesn't show much of the peak or anything simply because your arm isn't the point of major contraction. I'd pull your arms up just a little so they aren't lower by your waist and more up by your chest, throw your chest up & out a little more, shoulders up and straight. This is also another pose where the focus on upper body can negate the lower body. This is a great opportunity to show off a great glute / ham / calf profile. I personally find that if I sit down a little into the pose to get some ham activitation and then come back up a little to settle into the pose I get more out of it.
front dbl bi - looks strong, though I'd stick my leg out in front instead of to the side or further back. Again another great chance to show off the front of your leg. Like the w/ rear poses, its a good exercise to move your leg around and see what you wear the best - what placement gives you the best balance first and then what allows you to show off the best detail.
most muscular - there are lots of ways to do this - the way you are doing, hitting that pose and then putting your hands on the sides of your hips instead of in front of you, and also 1 hand on the side of your hip while doing a bicep contraction in front. And then, of course that beautiful (rolling my eyes...) crab pose.. Only do that if you've got a rack of delt meat that King Kamali would be impressed with. LOL! It looks like it may be the angle of the photo but still be sure to pull your shoulders & chest up & out to get max detail showing and don't forget your legs.
side tri - looks great! Only comment would be remember your legs and take the same approach as you would w/ your side chest. This is also another very common transition from side chest to side tri or vice versa, so you want a solid base to do the transition on and not fall over or lose your posture.
I"m not master poser but I"ve spent a lot of time observing and I'm constantly working on trying different things that bring out MY best details. Everyone has their own opinions on how you should or shouldn't do a particular pose, but IMO what you really want is to ultimately find the best way to wear these poses on YOUR body. If a pose feels contorted or is hard to hold, then it is probably not the best positioning for you. Rear lat is just something that is odd and takes a while to get used to, but most of the others are poses that can be similated with various exercises to mimic the motion / contraction and they should feel comfortable. But don't feel confined by the way whoever is showing you how to do them. The foundation of each pose will be the same, but the final presentation of it is a balance between showing the best of what you have and having it appear effortless and balanced.
I have some posing pix on myspace (http://www.myspace.com/gondivin)from my show in 2005 (on the left) and then again in 2007 (videos & links on right) so you can see some of the set up that I'm talking about (the video of the posedown at the San Fran 2007 show). My best improvement was on my lat spread and I added in a little more attention to my legs on the side poses as well.

Thanks everyone for the comments, bwahahaha!
SASSY girl.. you rock. I love the fact that you have been keeping attention to my posts on my posing stuff. great deal girl. too bad you are too far away or I would give you too a big old hug.
I hear you on each and every point and I checked out your pictures. EXCELLENT. I know that I will make the poses stronger as I settle in them and get more confident with myself doing them, lol. Even the turns, geez.. by the end of the session I was doing these with a little pizazz.
OMG she even told me about a ham pose that they may call out and some girls won't know it or look at each other and be Like WTF is he talking about. She knows the judges and also judges many local events, lol. And then one out of 8 girls bam strikes the pose and they all just sorta stand there. She told me to be ready for that pose. She was also asked to judge the show I am doing and already told me that she was going to back down and say NO, because she wants to be with me that day behind the scenes getting me pumped. lol... she told me get ready to apply that dreamtan butt nekked, any takers? Not a inch of me will be left uncovered.
I know I just need to boost up myself and get rid of a bit of shyness around people. I am actually going to start practicing in the aerobic room at the gym with my ipod on and just get into it.

hey babes.. where you been all my life, lol.
Yo, I am gonna have you check on me in 2.. I will be posing for you guys, but should I bring my 2 piece? hmmmm
I hit my posing in the aerobic room and there was a salsa lesson going on so I had an audience. The salsa instructor then asked me to dance with him when he was done, lol. Man I haven't hit the salsa floor in a bit and was a bit tense, but got the moves back and starting shaking.
I love to dance.

Looking good! You might bring your elbows up a little on your dbl bi poses. See if you feel a little more contraction in your mid outside back when you do that. Again see if you like how you wear it, but if you check pictures of the national level girls I think you'll see them w/ more of a < _o_> shape than a I_O_I shape. (LMAO if you can make any sense of that...)
Your leg positioning -... im' trying to figure out what is bugging me about it... it feels like the lines are too wide... like A shape.. which doesn't balance well w/ the detail and thickness you have in your back.. you might bring your rear leg in a little -- but step back on the ball of your foot like you're putting out a cigarette. You could maybe turn your rear knee out a little bit more almost like you are ready to take off from that foot (like a runner in the blocks) - turning your leg a little more might show off more of the thickness in your quads. You want to make your legs the solid base for your upper body presentation as well as a fantastic opportunity to show off glute / ham / calf detail.
Always understand w/ my comments that they are picky, absolutely not any criticism!!!!but mostly about pointing out things you might consider to make the foundation pose a little more balanced or aesthetic.--- play around w/ it and see what you think you wear the best! I think a big part of learning posing from one person is that you learn "their" way and may not be aware of all the little tweaks and variations you can do / might be more comfortable executing / shows off your body better. :)

yeah I hear ya.. that pic is bugging the heck out of me too AND OMG Yes I thought about the elbows too, lol.. the more pics, hehe the better. I think I could place them up a bit higher. sorta when I hit it like CRUNCH AND push them push them out a little, lol as if i even know what I am saying but I know what I mean!
YES the dam leg too is bugging me. I think I do need to work on that leg a little??? grrrrrr how about the one in front it just looks bla to me? Maybe bring it out a little more too and sorta sit more in it? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh
I also tried playing with a bit by sticking it out to the side.. I will see. I am meeting Carol on Friday :hi5: lol. We are gonna train shoulders and then hit posing. I think I have improved a little since last week. I am getting more into the turns and also the chest and tri pose. The lat spread, still needs major work, IMO.
oh and get this, carol does judging for local amateur events AND YES SHE IS JUDGING MY SHOW, :wallbash: not my sorta deal or hers either. She wanted to be with me backstage rooting me on and bla bla bla. But she did say she will check on me quite often. She checks in more on me than my dam diet coach, lol. He is a goner when I am done with this first show, lol. She is a keeper not just for help but she has become a friend already :hi5:
OMG I have to bring her music too, lol. She wants to get me started on that also. She told me that since I am using the plain red for the evening show that I may want to sassy it up a bit? lol.. oh geez. - heck just noticed I used the word sassy, no pun intended GIRL.
ok, off to make espresso! :ohnoes:

You need to tighten up you limbs , you have longish legs and arms so foot placment on your leg poses is everything. Bring the feet in a bend the legs on your rear doiuble bi. Friont bi keep your elbows higher and more lat

Exactly!
You can definitely look for some add-on accessories for the night show. The suit itself is dressy in color so that helps as a starter (e.g. my last suit was black and felt like it was more utilitarian than anything.... red is more 'useable' for a standard color as well as something that is spiffier.)
I wouldn't get too wild w/ looking for stuff you'd have to glue on but you might find some chains or belt thingies you could safety pin on -- very simple, you could pin to the seams and not screw up the fabric, and not have to worry about it falling off.
