I've used a few small tubs of Iso protein powder and have found it to be a great high quality product. The only drawbacks to me are price and taste is just ok. I'm close to making my next order from Anafit (tylers, gluc) and am trying to decide if I want to continue using it(most likely) and if I should go for the 5lb over the 2. I've also been using muscle milk by Cytosport as a meal replacement as I use a good amount of protein powder.
Compared to Isopure which was my fav "no carb, no fat" powder Iso/agb is $11 per pound (5lb jug) compared to Isopure $7.86 (7.5lb jug). A serving of IPure is 65g/50g prot. I-agb is 30g serv with 27g protein. I'm guessing the big difference is the Acetyl-Glutamine and betaine in the anafit product? Anyway, what are the advantages of agb over a product like Isopure? |

Looking at the cost per pound is the way to do it, not the serving size which only refers to the scoop size. You can make ANY amount a serving size.
ISO costs more for couple reasons. One is that Isopure is not isolate. It's an isolate "blend" which means it's only part isolate. This means you're getting 10% less actual protein. ISO AGB also has the highest digestibilty rating given by the FDA. It's the same as baby food. So you get more into the muscle faster. Add to that, like you said, that you get ACETYLATED glutamine. Which will actually get into the muscle and not be dissolved during digestion like the l-glutamine used in Isopure. The difference in these two products is night and day. |

What I meant by showing serving size (sort of) is that if a 30g serving has 27 g protein that equals 90%. The other prod would equal 76% protien (a 32.5g serv had 25 g protein.)
As AGB is 97%, is this because of the AC glut and betaine? If I'm way off here you don't have to try to explain if it's over my head and it requires long explanation. |
