3 weeks in right now.

Stomach has gotten tighter. Legs are leaning out. Back/shoulders/arms are getting ridiculous.

My back is SHOCKING to me. When I brush my hair, everything's all poppin out and holy crap. I love it. My stomach and thighs look so much better now than they ever have. I'm melting.

Also, I'm afraid I'm gonna lose the :boobs:. For real, I love them. I don't wanna get so lean that they disappear on me.

Considering how well your leaning out, I wouldn't worry to much about the boobage if I were you. You would have lost them already if they were gonna go. :)
I have leaned out a far bit myself but for some reason I can never wear pants like that.
ANY TIPS???? lol. :)

Honestly, I think the combination of all the running I've been doing, plus the Bulgarian Split squats/good mornings are what is making all the different. I could never wear undies like that and have them look ok before.:wiggle:

Thank you, guys. Can't really see the hip lines... I should have waited til this morning when I got up and peed to take the pics of my stomach, it's much more defined. I'm VERY excited that my abs are starting to cut. :elephant:

Also, I'm glad to hear that I'm not going to lose my chest too much!

Tell me about your training!
Do you do Olympic Distance tri's and/or Sprints?
Well maybe even Long distance Triathlon.

Do you train twice a day? I think Cycling helps hips lean out or so I feel it, when I ride.

I'm new to triathlons. I'm VERY excited about it. I'm starting out with short course ones.

my first tri is in July. It should be pretty simple-- about .5 a mile swim, 15 miles bike, 3 miles running.

I was a distance swimmer in college (66 lengths of the pool) so the swimming is the least of my worries. I'm not worried about biking either. I mainly am focusing on my running for now since I am also new to that.

Right now T Cake has me doing circuit training TRSu, running MWSa with Fridays off. I'm trying to build up my pain tolerance and endurance while shedding bodyfat and gaining some muscle in my legs (Which have never REALLY been in shape prior to this)

So... that's about it so far. I have a half marathon in June and the tri in July. I'm going to be a busy girl!

BF is a triathlete, I did a sprint in 2002 and won 2nd place.
We were four LOL...any how I do think the run is the worst part.
Do practice alot of transitions!! You can gain alot of time.
And place a small towel with your tennis shoes with elastic laces, your cap and gu, rieady for when you get off the bike.
Remember you have to take your helmet off once you "park" your bike, not before or you may get penalized...

:D

It will help with that lower stubborn bodyfat area. If you are already using it, just keep applying it:)

Looking good, nice progress!

MR. BMJ
02-22-2008, 12:37 PM
They are not bad at all, you just need to consistently stay at it until you reach your goal. Which is basically just giving yourself time to reach that level. You already know that though;)

Flor has been MIA!
But I am here now.
More advice for your race, place the gu on the bike frame where it is easy for you to grab it
If you use scotch tape on the dotted line, you can just yank it off and it will be open when it reaches your lips.
Water bottle is a must for gu to go down.
I am sure you will have fun!!!

I joined the Minnesota Triathlon Club a few days ago. They have group workouts and help you learn how to transition and stuff. I've never done any of this. I'm actually thinking of scrapping my half marathon for now and just focusing on my triathlon.

Worked mildly with weights in college from 2000-2004. Hit em harder in 2005 on my own, on and off in 2006 and 2007. Hitting them hard now.

My back is due to 10 years of swimming and pretty much not kicking my legs. lol :)

Working widdling down the lower half. Oof!

Yes you are correct. You can tell a diff in all those. I especially see a dif with the bi's, lats, and your tri's look harder as well. As a side note, another big difference between the two are your hair and the clothing. :)

Bodyfat loss is a subtle thing - photos, like the scale, are just data points. If you're noticing your clothes fitting diffferently, unless you actually get pinched for bodyfat measure, that's usually the most dramatic indicator.

Keep killing it! Are you feeling other differences? Stronger? More endurance? Sleep better? Greater sense of well-being? More relaxed in daily life (i.e. you've got an aggressive physical outlet for stress!)

Thanks Sassy!!!

Yes, my clothes are falling off. I've had to buy smaller sizes of stuff in the last few weeks (when I have the money), but I won't buy NICE expensive ones til later.

I'm feeling big differences. MUCH stronger for one, my endurance is great, I sleep like a rock (but I do find it hard to wake up). I feel a lot better about myself overall and I LOVE that I have very defined shadows on my shoulders/arms at the gym now when I am just walking by the mirror. It feels great. :)

Butt is lifting, thighs are shrinking, legs are getting more defined. Even when I was putting lotion on my legs a few days ago, I was smiling because my legs feel hard. I love it. :)

This is allllll that matters!

And you are taking pics in fairly bright direct light which washes out all the shadows that would be created by the shape of a muscle...hence the muscles tend to look more flat and shapeless than they really are. Solution is to find some indirect lighting...more like from 45 degrees to the side that casts nice shadows and then set the camera on time delay and have fun!

You look gorgeous anyway...so have fun with it!

Im going to say this 1st and foremost since I am pretty sure you already KNOW what I think but for the others, lest they think Im being critical.

You are looking really good Abs.

You are quite stunning IMO.

Now, REMEMBER... patience, the bottom WILL catch up.

And your stomach getting tighter faster, that is the part of you that IMO is tightening the quickest. As far as any faster on one end you may end up with loose skin and the other, YOU KNOW what I am going to say about your diet and the lack of you COOKING your food, i.e. more real less convenience.

If you expect superior results to have to fill yourself with superior foods.

You get what you put in, and you are putting in ALOT of hard work, so be patient and enjoy this while you can still eat pretty freely and have your boobs.

You are gorgeous.

kisses.

I was a total slacker on food, water intake, and supplements the last week and a half due to the move... so I know that slowed me down.

Stunning?? Wow, really? Gosh, I don't even know what to say to that. Thank you. :) :rose:

I'm not too worried about the booty. It'll happen for me, it's just a matter of getting out there and discovering hills in the new town I moved to. I found some steps/hills yesterday for me to run, so I'll give those a whirl in the next few weeks. :)

I love my boobs, I don't want them to shrink much more! :boobs:

Thank you for the vote of confidence!!!

I liked when she found out about my belly ring and gave me a snooty look and said "well that's trashy".

I am gonna take a stab at this and only because you are really busting your balls in the gym. I think its time to change your diet, My opinion. You are really looking great but your body may need more food and unfortunately for you to tighten it up you will have to eat food that you prepare yourself. Not that you have to give up those dulce leche puddings. I use to have those but chocolate of course when I first initiated the diet. I was burning fat so quickly that I could splurge on the sugarfree ones every now and then. And I treated myself to a weekly cheat meal. NO your goals are not mine, but I could see you tightening up much quicker if you gave your body a CHANGE.

Besides my opinion you look smashing and yes that beanpole of an ex couldn't handle you mama cause you are all woman.

You look FAB :drinkbuds: btw whenever I see those puddings I think of you mamasita and NOW I too want a little itsy bitsy nose piercing..

Get your nose done if you want it done! It doesn't hurt at all. I'm the biggest wuss on earth. It takes 15 seconds to do, probably less than that. It's awesome, I love it.

I don't eat the SF puddings anymore-- I kicked em the same time Holly kicked her rice puddings. I think I did that the day before she did. I had to stop having them in the house because otherwise that was all I'd eat. I've switched to SF jello.

I think a big thing is that I am a total slacker on water intake. As in, 2 liters a day on a good day in the last month.

Giving up certain foods and eating more of other things is really not an issue for me. I generally go for whatever is fastest/easiest, but I understand that I have to sacrifice more time in order to do that. I already feel like this lifestyle consumes me 24 hours a day, so I'm just mildly irritated that I have to give up additional free time to do something I detest-- cooking/cleaning up afterwards. Hate hate hate.

Something weird with this camera and my bathroom-- the lighting seems to change A LOT. I don't get it. Maybe the camera is on a weird setting. I have no idea.

I'm going to cook all my foods and stay away from processed stuff from now on. I think I'll have much better results.

Bargh.

I'm going to redo my stomach picture cuz it was distorted. I wasn't standing as tall in the updated pic as the one from a few weeks ago so it isn't a good comparison.

Good girl. :) Keep saying that enough and you'll start to actually believe it. Trust me. :rose: Sassy told me, like, a year ago to stop weighing myself -- and I still did it every morning from Aug to Nov. Finally I just stopped caring altogether -- and WHAM I was able to focus on my physical success and not a stupid number.

Stomach picture-- retaken as promised yesterday.

I'm hitting a point where I have to lift up my bra because my boobs are distorting the progress on my stomach from the gravity. I know it looks stupid but seriously, you can't really tell a difference in my stomach if I don't. I didn't USED to have to do that but with how my body is losing fat, at this point it's the only way I can make it noticeable.

Good job Tweak. Looking EXCELLENT. You can even tell from your posts that your attitude towards all of this is changing.

You're looking lean and ultra, ultra sexy. If I wasn't married - I'd ask ya out! haha.

On the real - good luck in the Lifetime Tri. I competed in two tri's last year - one in White Bear Lake and one in Stillwater in the River (that one sucked - HELLA current). I'm not a swimmer, so that was the challenge for me. I also trained a few times with the Lifetime team - they are a good (and ultra dedicated) group of people.. I also got hooked up with a couple of other smaller groups in Edina and Plymouth and trained on occassion. I haven't done a THING in the past 6 months as my wife and I have been remodeling our new (to us) house in Richfield, but if you ever want to get out and have a training partner, I could join you on your shorter runs until I get back into it. I'm in Richfield so I'm pretty central to everything.

I'm not a biker - so my mental state can't get past the feeling of not just pulling my feet out. Maybe my clips are too tight.
