So most of you know I injured my shoulder in June and had orthoscopic sergury in July. Well I am really seeing tons of improvement. I start theropy tomorrow and I'm stolked. My sergeon told me no heavy lifting for 6 moths. I've been doin everything I'm suppossed to do. Plus, I'm happy to say I am completly off all the pain meds. I've been running a low dose of test cyp (250mg ew) and 4iu of growth ed. Yesterday I was able to do sets of 20 push ups and 30lb db curls and it felt great.

So my question is for those that are wizards with these types of injuries "killer" and whoever else, when can o began some light to moderate weight training? Nothing crazy. Just so I can get a nice little pump. :D

I had surgery on my AC joint back in May and didn't touch anything more than an empty bar for 2.5 months which is when the doc cleared me and I healed quickly. Your surgery was probably more invasive since they went in to the actual shoulder joint if I remember correctly so you'll probably take longer than I did to heal. Think of rehab as a BBQ cook-off, for best results keep the weights low and the progression slow.

Unless your Doc is super conservative, listen to him. And please no more push-ups unless you are cleared! You do not want stress the joint's structures before it is time. And talk about it with your PT and he/she will have the Doc's RX and any contraindications.

About 5 - 7 months is about right for a repair where tendons are tact back down.

I have a shoulder site saved at work. I will give the link tomorrow.

Thx brothas. I actually went to the gym today. All I did was some light db curls, tri extentions and legs. Very slow and very light. I start theropy tomorrow. I hope all goes well. I'm getting small and I hate it. I'm 193lbs! I feel like a runt! I've never been this small. It's fucking depressing. Ugh!

It sucks bro! I know how you feel. It's a tough road ahead, but you'll be back to where you were.

You will be back in no time. Patience my young padawan. Remember I went 1.5 years with no real leg training and I am still here!!! haha

The worse thing you want to do is get eager, jack yourself up, and start all over!
