what do you guys/gals think about working on your posing in the offseaon? do you think it makes a big differeance as far as density or overall muscle improvment. Or do you do it just for the practice in the offseason or do you do it at all.
Im thinking about spending time flexing the muscle group i worked for that day after that workout to see if i get any improvment.
Anyone have any thoughts or experiance?

i pose very briefly after each muscle group, but not for extended periods of time. posing is a perishable skill, and practice is required before i step onstage. i think it's a great way to condition your muscles into getting into that set position, and it does make a difference onstage; you can tell who has practiced and who has not.
as far as doing it in the offseason, i don't do it because i already spend a lot of time in the gym as it is....i want to go home and eat after my workouts. but i'd say it would definately be helpful! just like how you should be doing a minimum amount of cardio in the offseason, you should also do a bit of posing. why not go one step further? i see no harm in doing it. please update us with your results!
PS...you say you're in the Pacific NW....you gonna be at the Emerald Cup?

I don't do any regimented posing in the offseason, but start posing regularly about 12 weeks from a show. This has always gotten me ready for the toughest of pre-judgings. As hard and heavy as I train in the offseason I believe that adding in some posing would cross me over into that evil place known as OVERTRAINING LAND!

I Will be at the "cup" but will not compete, i have 2 friends that are doing it. As much as i would like to i dont think im up to that level yet. Ive only been lifting seriously for 3 years and last year was my first year doing shows. last year i did 2; one in alaska (that is were i was stationed) and the 2000 n.w championships. now that im out of the military (sorta) i have more time and freedom.

I dont see anything wrong with posing in the "off season". I think it would help build some stamina and also help you learn how to pose and hold them correctly.
