As I posted a week or so ago I have begun my contest prep. This is my first go around with really getting ready for a show so needless to say I want it go go flawlessly and I need every advantage I can get. I take paxil at 40mg daily and I need to know if this in any way will affect my dieting. By means of making it harder to drop fat through various biological mechanisms or if it causes edema, which I have heard it does. Will it in any way affect my preparation or make it harder to rid of the fat/maintain lean body mass?

If I remember correctly,Paxil is an SSRI....selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor...like Prozac and Zoloft. If this is true,it will not affect your contest prep. All you might want to do is drop it about 3 days out from the show to prevent you from the possibility of holding water.Other than that,no worries /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I would say just keep doing what you're doing and do not drop the Paxil...I am assuming you need the Paxil or you wouldn't be taking it and if you drop it a few days before the show, your withdrawals from the Paxil will affect your mood and in turn, may affect you in other ways too..I would sya keep doing what you're doing and hope for the best
