I know its offseason for most of us.Winter is coming, along with holidays, etc.Time to relax a little and slack on the diet and training?Hell no...this is the time to kick it in high gear!Time to bring up weak points, add to your muscle mass, and reach for new highs in all the major lifts! What we do now will show on stage next year! So,who is slacking off....come foward and take your punishment. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

uhhh me.
sorry, been lifting hard as i can. finally came off cycle. trying to hold onto my strenght right now. its barely holding lets just say. My diet is decent but slipping on weekends. sorry. trying to improve my legs after the injury. so basically only slacking has been diet. i am burnt out on eating clean. the thought kills me everyday of another boring meal. being off cycle doesn't help either.
peace

I took a few days off after my competition to binge...but I have been back to eating hardy but clean since then. I know I have to get some more size so I am training hard, concentrating on growing well, it is hard for me to keep weight on, but I am trying. I do not want to start another cycle until the end of December. I want to let my body get back to normal (if there is such a thing) and keep working out like a demon. The strangest thing for me is what I look like now. I lost SO much body fat and got SO lean and now I feel like I look so smooth. It is of course a different mind set....but I did not think it would affect me this much to change so radically. Most people who do not know me still tell me how good I look and how muscular....but I feel smoother...hee...hee...never happy!!!!!!!!

I'm actually working harder than I was when I was bulking.
I'm gonna be lean for Christmas and then try to maintain it and gain some muscle in the process.

Without a doubt ive been slacking, with the current events going ive been reactiveated, so im not sure if im going to get deployed or not. I was getting ready for a show Nov 17 but had to bag it. SO now im trying a bulking phase without any gear(going to do a show in APRIL now). My diet has been o.k but i slip up 3-4 times a week. just need to get my ass in gear and stop using the excuse of possibily being sent somewere as a scape goat to slacking...RANTING DONE!!!!!

Well, just to let you guys know...I've been busting my ass this offseason.I have my bodyweight at around 240 at about the same bodyfat level as last year when I weighed 230.I am eating a ton of protein and lifting very heavy(4-6 reps),although I will start to lighten up occassionally as my joints are beginning to yell at me!I eat just one cheat meal on Fri night and one on Sat night, otherwise clean.Next year is gonna be my year /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif !

I've been slacking on my diet. I got laid off, so it's been very easy to cheat. I decided to get back on track today and avoid the crap food. I've been eating like crap for a couple weeks, so it's time to get back on track. Now's a good time for me to really focus on training, since I don't have a job to go to!

Man for the last week my diet has gone to hell. i have had a cold for like 2 weeks. but anyway before this happend my diet was kickn. in 8 weeks i went from 21.9% bodyfat to 13.4% bodyfat.
anyway i have a question for you. from what i have read you stay pretty lean year round. so i was wondering if you could post a typical days diet for yourself? and protien, carb, fat ratios that you use for staying lean while gaining?
this would be much apreciated. i have been doing a ckd diet but when i get to 10% i will be concentrating more on gaining lbm. but want to do it with gaining minimal fat back.
thank you,

How are you WARLOC...
This is my general rule in the offseason while staying lean and gaining quality size...
Protein:2 grams per lb of bodyweight.
Carbs:1 gram per lb of bodyweight(half the amount taken in post workout).
Fats:whatever is naturally occuring in my protein, and 2-4 tablespoons of EFA's per day.
That's the basics...let me know if you have more questions.

i have been training hard, but not the type of training you guys have been doing. the type of training that kills...the enemy. i am not getting deployed anytime soon, but rest assured that if they need me i will be gone once again. i fear for my life if i ever get the call, but for now, i am going to traing with my unit to increase my chances of living on the battlefield and ALSO will be trying to train as hard as i can to try to get myself back into a bit of a bodybuilding shape.
I am going to be here for another 6 weeks before the next major training event, and will resume my lifting and diet full-speed. i know i will have to take a one month break from lifting in december, due to the field time i will have then. regardless, i will make the best of my body as i can right now, so that i will be that much stronger for that month of harsh climates and challenging missions. i will also follow a diet that is similar to a contest prep diet, but with more food and carbs, because i will be training for cardiovascular endurance as well. and this time, there will be no anabolics involved, so it will be interesting how my body will react to drug free training.
bottom line, i will be posting regularly for about 6 weeks and giving information on my progress as well.
i'm glad to be back /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

GoPRO,
Would Fish oil caps or Flax seed oil caps be good sources of EFA's?
Also during your off-season diet how many times a week do you eat redmeat? What cuts of red meat do you eat.
I eat alot of flank myself.

Razor...both fish oil and flax oil are excellent sources of EFA's.
I eat red meat almost everyday in the offseason. This is usually from bison, flank, round, and london broil cuts.
