my old journal meh... its been so long. gonna try to keep up with my logging, so please help me out. I have been busy with work and the weekends don't give me much time at all, so I have been vegging out.
Signed up for a Strongman camp with Linden Yard. After a 6 month layoff I was glad to see I kept up and this was also after pulling my back out with deadlifting last week. I think 45 minutes of spin on the same night did me in.
Ive been at the gym for the last few months so my elbows feel good. Once in a while I get a twinge in them but they are ok. Ice has become my best friend :)
ok, so we did some warming up:
jumpin jacks, spiderman crawls, some other on the floor stuff didn't quite get the name lol.. then some kettle work. didn't realize how badly coordinated I am :(
Hit the warehouse for some events - keep in mind this week we were just gettin back in and each session will be different, next one which I have to miss will be one for more strength. I take my spin certification next week so will be gone all day.
Chain Yoke...
Chain (50) with 35ers 50ft x 2
Chain plus 180 pounds x 2 for 50ft
Viper press: log only... got good form here... Working the hips. Log is about 56 pounds, then just the locks added, probably another 6 pounds lol.
Farmer/sled drag medley: 105pd farmers, 165 pd sled. quick on the feet.... 100ft 50 down, 50 back. On the return the chain yanked me as I picked up where I dropped so that yank winded me. We did this 2xs and enough to want to pewk. Nice medley
Stones: 137 cylinder shape to 54" up/negative x's 5
160 stone x 1 plus a negative to 54"
160 loaded to 54" x's 3 - no rest. I really felt nauseous here :drool: awesome!
It was a lighter workout but we pretty much flew through it all in under 2 hours. Only two of us showed up but the one on one treatment we got from Keller was priceless and the value added to this coaching well I know game day I can get it done.
also for giggles deadlifted a 240ish frame that will be used for the York comp... REALLY nice that the owner of the w-house built.
I am really bummed I won't be making it out next week but there is always the following. gonna go out and compete at Battle of the BadASS in May.
My weight is up to around 150 pounds but I am not packing on too much fat lol...

Nice to see you back logging in here and I'm glad you're feeling healthy enough to get back to it!

haha kitty is out of control. She is a doll but those claws. I don't want to de-claw here, you never know if she gets out by accident :(
things are good, life is ok, missing my babe but will see him soon, otherwise getting ready to enjoy the spring.
How is your prep, you look fab :) and how is beau?
yeah omg I was swinging the kettle and oh well it flew out of my hand lol... whoopsie, !

Have you tried Softpaws? Mike wanted me to declaw my cat before we moved in together but I don't like doing that. I use softpaws and they work great-- they're like vinyl claw caps you glue on their little toesies and they're awesome so long as your cat doesn't chew them off. Mine could care less about it.
Beau and I are doing well-- my sister is pregnant and I'm getting ready for my shows so things are a little hectic! :) Show prep is going really well, big time diet and training changes starting as of today so I should continue on the path I'm on in terms of leaning out. I'm happy with my progress. Lower body isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than it's ever been.
DUDE, watch those kettlebells!!! How big was it? Those things kick my ass!

haha thanks everyone for stopping in OMG any1, you are nutz but very sweet. How are things with you and the family? BM omg when I took that pic I was gonna say it reminded me of the one you posted after your meet. haha, I too had grey on. :)
ok, so I did chest and bis on Monday, nothing major to report. I am not trying to get any heavy lifts in as I want to ensure I save my strength for events and try to work around the elbows. They feel good but ya know I need to be cautious.
So did alot of dbs bench/flat/incline, did some hammerstrength and went up to 45s here, felt good. Noone spotting me so that also felt good. Keeping my bicep work light too...
Back last night: pulldowns - 40x12 warmup
70x10
85x8
100x5 - no spot... drop set 70x8, 55x12
seated reverse cable rows r/l - 20x10x3
rows 40x12x3
pulllovers 25x10x3
stretch with cables, threw in some face pulls and shrugs on the smith.
20 minutes of cardio
Legs tonite with John. My dear friend told me last week that he has the "c" , ugh I can't even bring myself to say it :( - they caught it early so he is going in for surgery next month. He is such a good friend, like a father. I need to be there for him
otherwise, life is good. One of the trainers at the gym that does mostly "core" type work was surprised when I told him that I am not big on the squat rack. He was like ahem, how come you have such big legs, LOL... ahhh genetics. I told him possibly my crappy core is holding me back, so hopefully he will show me some stuff!
saturday is my spinning workshop... gotta study tonight. I haven't picked up the manual in over a week.
off to get ready for work and boil some eggs.

small indicator, WW cut back on them carbs ugh lol.
ok, so I am almost a spin instructor haha. Took my workshop saturday which btw kicked my butt. I gotta complete the online assessment and then start getting ready to set up profiles, music etc. I am excited.
Gonna go pull some weight tonight, nothing off the floor though my back is still sore from sitting on a wood floor for 4 hours in class :( then hitting a major ride and driving for over a hour. What the heck do I torture myself so? ahhh.
I am going to my 2nd SM camp session saturday going for the 170 BALL rock stone whatever you guys wanna call it. I will own it :)

yes I know its water mostly but there are some jiggles in there too. I feel good as my strength is good right now, my elbows are acting up but I am icing them and using some new antiinflammatory gel. I know I just need to cut back a tad to get in nice trim shape for summer.
been training just busy, every night my daughter has something we need to do LOL... its either shop for something or some kind of homework. I did some nice cardio last night on the spin bike. Its incredible how when you take a workshop you learn to let the bike work for you rather than you trying to work too hard on the bike. I don't know exactly when I will get out to teach, maybe next month. I was gonna do the profiles myself but the company sells them, so half the battle. Just work the music into them. I just don't have extra time. The end of school season is coming and we always have something to do or DUE lol.
Kitty is good, getting into trouble. She so tries to get in my room but its the only room she is not allowed in for now. My allergies are good with her but I don't know about sleepin in the same room with her haha.
Today I am gonna spin at work with my friend Star (love the name) she is a new-hire in our group and she is so nice. We get along well haha. I have events tomorrow so no lifting, I did however try some new exercise for rear delts the other night UGH I am so sore :(
ok, will be back after tomorrows events. I was told I am gonna tackle the 170 stone :ohnoes:

SM camp was cancelled today. I was going to go train with a crew down in Keyport. One of the girls that trains with out there used to be a American Gladiator, she is so friggin strong its insane lol. Last night while trying to go to the wash room, heading down the staircase.... ACCIDENT of sorts. trying to avoid stepping on the cat which I know better to usually pick her up on my way down well I tripped on a step and grabbing onto the rail all my bodyweight fell on my hand which triggered my elbow to react. It felt like it popped out of place :ohnoes: the pain was that bad of the cortisone shot. today its pretty brute, so I canned going out to train and have been icing it to the gazoo. Its just another rough bad luck patch I am going through :(
starting my diet monday, these 161 pounds are not gonna sit well in my 2 piece :)

I joined a program at worked... 8 week challenge. Started Monday, cut my carbs back to about 70 a day and my calories dropped substantially but I did have 6 meals. Its not about how much you eat but WHAT you eat. You eat crap you are crap. So I started weighing 161, hopped on the scale for the weigh in today, 155. Lots of water there which reminds me, I haven't been drinking enough today.
I haven't heard back from the Camp Lead and hopefully its still on for this saturday otherwise I better find a alternative LOL....
Elbow feels good... not 100% but I tried to power clean the other day, wasn't having it with the bar alone my elbow gave out on me :(
lets hope I have some gas in me this weekend!

So I am stalling at the weight loss, grrrrrr lol. Patience is one of those theories such as moderation lol.. that I can get a handle on. But I will try :)
Decided to cut my carbs back substantially and cycle them close to my SM training on the weekends.
This is what my diet will be Mon-Thurs:
Meal 1 - protein shake
Meal 2 - 6 egg whites, 1tsp peanut butter
Meal 3 - chicken/almonds (not sure how many yet but trying to keep my fats around 25gms a day) so may better opt for some kind of oil? olive? or 1/2 oz of almonds. Still trying to figure this one out
Meal 4 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese 1 scoop whey
Meal 5 - chicken, 1tsp peanut butter :-)
Meal 6 protein shake
12-16oz with each meal. Coffee once per day. Even cutting back on the espresso during the week as I like it mostly with milk. -
Cherry pomegranite crystal light WATERED down nonetheless will save me these next few weeks.

I need my rest these days. I am extremely cranky irritable and grrrrr just wanna go Postal. So imagine this cut will just kill me LOL. But oh well bikini season is in. I will then carb up starting Friday morning. Nothing too risque per se. Oats, rice cakes, veggies, some milk :-)
I feel good though. My weight lifting is going well. I have been doing some of those spiderman crawls and well I have a nice audience. I guess things are moving along and I am seeing progress in some areas. For one my elbows have their good and bad days, yet I push through the workouts. Kettle bells and snatches really irritate my elbow yet working with the log didn't or did the stone loads. So I choose which battle I wanna fight with. Remember very cranky over here LOL.
People have told me that its good to see me back in action and training consistently and hard again. its good to be back :-)
Pics of course :) Needless to say I have managed to atleast maintain good vascularity from my very first show. I carbed up or should I say had pizza on saturday night. I was actually scared at how freakish my veins looked and they felt so pumped!

Lookin' good, girl! You have such beautiful mass... glad the diet is going well! It's nobody's favorite switch to make but it's well worth the effort!

well the diet needs to be revamped a tad. I have to say considering the amount of size I have augmented lol... I don't feel too bad its just my dam pants don't fit. Another tiff is parting with them, but I did go buy some new springy/summer pants. so I have to learn to let go lol.
oh another goody, I can use pumpkin seeds for fats and good source of fiber!
better start making the coffee @ home in the morning, my head hurts!

felt good, the last rep on the 185 well didn't go up so easy.. I pulled it off the floor but had to use my quads to help me get er done!
Pulldowns with the higher pulley so the weight feels heavier:
40x12
55x12
70x10
85x8 - drop set 55 till failure. Those 85s always feel like 100, but I prefer this pull unit to the old one. The band is good for a good ass whoopin"
Cable rows: 50x12x2 - standing I know this sounds odd haha but I was bent down in a angle and used curlyish bar so it was a wider grip than a regular seated row:
50x12x2
60x12x2
Cable stretching - high pull: 25x12x2 - w drop sets of 20 to failure
20 minutes on the spin bike
Yesterday I did chest/bis:
DB inclines w bb incline superset: 25x10x2, 30x8x2 - barbell only x 4 x8
Hammerstength flat:
10x10x1
20x10x1
30x10x1 drop these all by 10s till failure... working form here strictly.
DB flies: 15x12x3
Lots of bicep curling action... dbs, cables - nothing major to report but a good pump!
Legs tonite, then shoulders/tris tomorrow. Friday just some light cardio... Saturday events and hope to sit in the sun!
The low carb diet is not working well with me being home. I have to keep busy or I get hungry quick lol.. but Monday I felt good as I was at the office, yesterday I work from home. Not so much of a perk when cutting.
Oh yeah cardio today/tomorrow/friday at lunch too - just to get out of the office and distract myself. I sit there all day just working by 1pm I am gassed and ready to fall asleep lol. This helps to break up the day!
Good idea to get out at work and do cardio. I no longer have a gym at my current office like I did at my old one but I at least head out for a walk at lunch now. Good time to clear your head, get some blood flowing and talk to my boy :)
I hear you about pants not fitting - I have put on lots of size, good size, but size nonetheless and its a bit of a mental mind eff when stuff gets tight. Why don't guys have the same issue???? lol
