-What shows are next in line?
-What do you have as far as goals right now?
-Are you back on a good offseason meal plan?
-Are you losing motivation...typical post-contest lull?

i know i made some mistakes after my last show with respect to these areas...and it's DAMN hard to stay motivated after a show and coming off the precontest cycle! Share a little with the rest of the board members on what tricks and techniques you all use for staying in the right mindframe to avoid post-contest/post-cycle depression. i know i could learn a few things here.

My last show was The Cal may 19th. I am hungry, and not just for food.I plan on putting on about 5-7 lbs. of muscle between now and next May where I'll do the Contra Costa then follow again with Cal. I guess I stay motivated knowing I'm progressing , living a dream , knowing I'm standind on the same stage that they hold the Pro Ironman and at a contest where a number of pro's have competed and won, the Cal. I guess I don't get any post-cycle ,contest depression because I jumped right back on Test,Dbol& Deca cycle and getting all my size back and then some. Sad to say I don't have any other hobbies or anything to take up my time. So for me it's Bodybuilding and raising my family

"Sad to say I don't have any other hobbies or anything to take up my time."

that's not sad, that's dedication to your priorities! /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

the Cal is a huge one....i would need 2 years to feel comfortable on that stage.

Pharm, don't sell your self short. They even opened up a novice class this year. The emerald cup is a pretty big show isn't it? Just fuckn' go for it! You know what it's all about, 90sec. of all eye's on me!

"They even opened up a novice class this year."

i won the overall at my last show...so i'm not novice /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

i would go into it wanting to WIN...therefore i would need 2 years...LOL but i won't be able to do so for a few years, with the military and things.

Hey Pharm.Well I can't really answer this right now because I'm still dieting.OK,so I have gained about 10 pounds since my last show(June 16)...mostly water.I will be competing again in October(no,not the Olympia!!!)so I have decided to stay close to contest weight.I have slightly cut back on the cardio for the time being and I allow myself some cheats on the weekend.I will kick back in full force about mid August.I don't care what I weigh at my next show...my goals are to be a little tighter with thinner skin.I'll keep you all up to date. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

sounds nice....but i was referring to guys/gals who do not plan on competing for a full year. it's much easier to maintain focus for a show 6 months away compared to one 12 months away.

PS...i do not plan on doing any shows in 2002...the army has a full slew of events planned for me from now till then....but 2003 is still not set! heheheh...'i'll be back!' /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
