RC issues

Orthopedic surgeon went over my MRI today with me. Not good news. Radiologist was wrong tear is in Rotator not front delt. Specifically the infraspinatus torn. Says can do meet as long as I do not go crazy with the weight in the bench.
Recommending orthroscopic surgery after the meet. Says rehab period normally 4 months. Does anybody have any experience with this?

I've had arthroscopic rotator cuff tear and labral tear repair... twice. Mine was the subscapularis though. But, I'd say 4 month rehab is about right, depending on how you conduct yourself and the severity of the tear. Mine took a bit longer because of my hypermobility, but that's par for the course for me.

So the infra is ruptured? Pixie is right on, around 4 months for a repair, not just a trim job.

Interesting the tech read a front delt tear. I never saw one of those, it is pretty rare.

Told him how a friend in NM. had this done on his right RC and is benching 400 plus and is 65. I asked if he was going to be shown up by a doc in Albuequer (sp)

Oldie, you will be back, no worries. I've had all rotators on my right sewn up x 2 plus a host of other work (understatement).
