I haven't received my pics from the photog. This is a bad pic my sister took. No one answered my post so I am posting a pic as a shameless ploy to get more attention to my post. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I have 7 weeks to get ready for my next show. I came in at about 14% in my first one and I'd like to get leaner for the Nationals. I need someone to help me with my diet. I don't know when I should start cutting sodium and how much and when I should load up. Same with carbs. I'm trying to get a bit bigger while lowering bf so I want to know how much time I have before I should start my precontest diet as well.

BTW has anyone competed in the Team Universe before?

Sorry I dont know the first thing about diets for fitness competitors.

I do know that the Team Universe is a great show. I train out here in NY at Bev's Golds and Bev's husband Steve runs the show. The contest gets great write ups and publicity so I would say do it!

Hey Ula..I must say,for a bad pic,you look damn good!!!Anyway,I don't believe in worrying too much about sodium until the last week before the show.As long as you are not salting your food excessively you will be ok until the last week when sodium/water manipulation becomes important.I also don't believe in sodium loading/depleting b/c it is too hit or miss.As far as diet, start as soon as possible...being in shape early is always an advantage as opposed to rushing it to the last minute.I believe high protein/med fat/low carb diets work best, especially for gals.As far as exact amounts,I would need more info on you to make accurate calculations.I would love to help.Feel free to e-mail me /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .
