OK everyone, just wanted to check in w/ ya about my status. I've decided I'm for sure doing my first show, its scheduled for Sept 29th. Its a Level 4 show. Depending on how I fare for that show, I'm POSSIBLY planning on doing another show Oct 13th, but I'm nervous about it being 2 weeks apart. Especially because I'd really need to peak even more for the second show because its a Level 5 show, so my goal there is to qualify to Nationals.

Right now, 16 weeks out, I'm weighing about 147-8 /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif I'm now higher than 13% bf and plan on competing at 5%. That is my goal at least. I've never been lower than 11% in my life LOL LOL, but I know I can get there w/ the right people doing my nutrition. So my plan is to get into the middleweights, 132.5 or less and kick some serious ass! /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I think when I drop to about 5% and get all the water out I'll be set but just squeezing in there, depending on how much muscle I lose /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif (hopefully none...)

But I'm 21 and its my first show so I've got time...

Let me know what you all think! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

At 21 you have age on your side. You probably would look awesome at even 6 or 7 % BF.With the right diet and training you will reach your goals.By the way,I think having a show 2 weeks apart is an advantage. You can eat some fun food for a day after the first show which will speed your metabolism and give you a mental break. Then when you go back on your diet you can make any necessary peaking refinements,e.g.,more carbs, less carbs, more sodium or less, etc.Plus your body will be harder just from all the flexing and posing from the first show.I'm in the middle of this process now and I'm so much better already a week out from my second show.So get to work and keep us informed. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hmmm, questions. As of right now I dont really have any. Nutritionist was great today. Food will be good I think. Protein 257, Carbs 138, Fat 17-20 per day. Not bad for a contest prep!

Gotta start thinking about music I want to use. Have NO IDEA, but need to get all this crap done early so I'm not stressing later on.

Gotta go!
