Hey guys,

Just want to do my best next saturday /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

For pumping up how does this sound...there was very limited equipement last year.

Reverse Bent-Over Row 15 reps
Push up's 20-30 reps
Bent-Over Row 15 reps
Dumbell Fly 15 reps
Dumbell Row 15 reps
Side Lateral 15 reps

OIL UP

Do it again...then add in

Dumbell Curl 15 reps
Triceps Kickbacks 15 reps

then get my ass onstage...

Also I know most say not to pump up legs but does this include calves???

If it's not hard it's not worth doing...

Hey Drexx. No,I would not pump the calves at all. They will look harder unpumped.Everyone is a little different, however,I like to do the following b4 hitting the stage...

pushups,bent-over laterals,side laterals,curls,hammer curls,close-grip pushups...all for about 15-20 reps.
then oil up and run through the mandatory poses.
i find that i don't get overpumped this way and i always look so much harder and more vascular after i practice my mandatories a couple of times.

all i do for the pump-up is flex and hold mandatories....and some laterals.

take care,

There's another fun option for backstage pump-up called "get to know your opposition". This requires you to approach your opposition with a selection of 2-person exercises such as push pull (can be done using a towel if you don't want to make physical contact). Lat raises, weighted pushups, bicep curls, tricep presses etc can all be done using this method. NO to leg pump ups of any kind in my book.

Honestly guys, if you open yourselves up to your competitiors not only can you improve your pump-ups, but you might just get to know like-minded bros that could become good friends or at least a source of support, info, gear leads or buddies to hang out with. What have you got to lose????? The judges won't know that you helped eachother backstage!!
