Default How far out from show should one stop training?

Is there like a general rule to go by? Im doing a figure show on June 9th and was wondering if I should stop weights/cardio about one week out or continue cardio until a few days out? Any imput?

Default it depends...

in optimum conditions (meaning you prepared correctly and are lean enough), tuesday for a saturday show is when you should drop all cardio and even depletion workouts, to give the muscles a chance to regain volume. but this all depends on if you are correctly prepared for the show. all that you should be doing 4-5 days out and beyond is some light flexing and posing....mainly to keep the muscles conditioned to hit poses smoothly and effortlessly....do not kill yourself with hard posing 2-3 days out. good luck!

That sounds about right. I had my workout on Wednesday, but Tuesday would be fine! Also, I had my last leg workout 10 days out.

FC, good point. i do my last leg workout 10-12 days prior to the show also. it's a good amount of time for letting the quads fully recover and "size back up" properly.
