Nooooo - not competing, but plan on working my trainer's April show & don't want to be out of shape!! Need to get back on track & get moving....I got a new plan to play with and permission to post my workouts here!!
Someone (my trainer) was quite disappointed in my weight (160lbs) once I finally broke down & took it this week..... :lonely: Though 1 good thing is that my body composition must be different than last offseason as I still sit comfortably into my size 10 pants - last year there was no way I could get into them.

It's my own fault I got sick....I told my co-worker that I didn't get sick this year (yay!) as I always either get sick in November or January.....then Bam! I got sick.... LOL
What's stranger is that I take Vit C 2x a day & wash my hands constantly....go figure....

Feeling like crap again, so I'm taking the night off......I'm exhausted after a couple of very busy days at work then cleaning up the cat pee tonite (someone isn't using their litter box all the time - messy!) Anyway, this stupid cold just doesn't want to go away....buy stock in Kleenex!

Saturday 3/13
Off day - Ran a bunch of errands in the rain & took Maddie to the vet again.
Vet said urine was better but still not clear, so she got another antibiotic shot. I also had her groomed to have the mats removed. I only asked them to remove the mats but they shaved her whole body. So now she looks like an idiot & she's trembling since she's cold. Poor kitty! And she lost one of her canine teeth yesterday while at the vet, so that's not good. But she gained 8 ounces in 2 weeks.
Good news is that we switched her litter box from the small-type you find at the store to a concrete-mixing basin we had in the shed. So she has a LOT more room to spread out and so far, no accidents! Also, she doesn't "cover" her business, so if I scoop the solids & cover the rest, it tricks her. So far so good!
Here's her new "look".....hope the fur grows back soon.

Its funny - some people pay moolah for the "Lion Cut" but aside from probably being a little nippy. it will give her a clean start for a new coat. Possibly it was just that bad that it was essentially a full trim anyway?

I did pay for the cut, but I just didn't expect them to do her whole body! Hope the fur grows back soon! Once we get her blood re-checked in a few weeks, she'll be scheduled for a dental. It's not stopping her from chowing down the chicken tho!!

Mine are doing well, but still don't like each other....Lindsay especially doesn't like Maddie....got Maddie's latest bloodwork back & her Hyper-T vs. kidney values are doing really well, so it seems we've got her in a good spot with that now....

Took some time off to get some projects done around the house.....been putting off doing the large LR 11x14' wall & got it done this weekend finally! Also got a forsythia bush/plant planted outside & pulled out all the dead stuff from last year's veggie garden. So a very productive 4 days!!
We had to put a lot of stuff on hold last year due to me competing, so we need to get caught up with stuff getting done & doing the finishing work on what's "sort-of" done....
I'm thinking due to all the vet bills + the house stuff I'm going to have to put off competing this year....

Annnnnd then I didn't work out for 2 weeks!!! I suck! LOL
Got the remaining drywall needed for the LR & spent the 2 weeks (well weekends, really) insulating, hanging the drywall, spackling & sanding...then priming it all. But the light is at the end of the tunnel home-remodeling-wise....we're now attempting to pick a paint color. Once we have paint, we only have 1 more room to redo drywall-wise & insulation-wise, thank goodness! So some of that pressure should be off......I tend to let it all get in the way of my workouts....
My trainer decided to add a show to the 2010 schedule & it was Saturday 4/24. I was Head Expediter!! Competitor's said they enjoyed the show & it was organized & well-run, so that made me happy I was able to provide them with a good experience.
Saturday's show gave me a bit of inspiration to get back on track.....pants are tight and I'm not feeling all that great about myself. 166.6lbs this morning......and I was told not to exceed 145lbs offseason!! Well, we can see how well that worked out! Ouch!
Also going to be posting up recipes (in the Recipe forum) as I make them as I think if I make my food more interesting, I'll be more likely to stick to my macros. There will be some incentive NOT to go out to eat as I tend to get wicked-horrible heartburn when I do, so I'll just have to bite the bullet & stay home.
Took Monday 4/26 off from work as I expected to be tired from Saturday's show & I was! My legs were sore too! Got to the gym anyway.......Got told by a PT there tho that I look WAY better this off-season than the last one, so that's good news!
Starting over with workout "A"....4 weeks of each should take me to the early-beginnings of contest prep for an April show....

Took a note from the convo I had with a friend during the show's break on Saturday about fruit & had a container of Greek yogurt + 1/4 cup cereal + 1/4 cup cherries Pre-workout today. Can you say MAD energy?? I was running about in my home-gym lifting, shredding, lifting, shredding.....Awesome!

Incline DB Press: 35lb DBs - 2x8; 40lb DBs - 3x8
Flat DB Press: 40lb DBs - 4x8
Standing curls w/EZ bar: 50lbs added - 5x5
Rope cable curl: 9 - 1x10; 10 - 3x10
PWO Cardio
Elliptical; 20 mins; 198 cals; 1.61 miles
**Left shoulder bugged me during all the pressing movements....and I've decided Chest is my least favorite workout
Saturday May 1st
No "official" workout today, but did a bunch of yard work:
Mowed the lawn front & back
Cut down a bunch of overgrown wild grape vines & bushes
Weed whacked
Weeded
Planted a strawberry plant
Planted some herbs
**Feeling sore a bit, so used my muscles/body in a different way....really enjoyed the hard work!!

I'm sorry if i missed it, but are you or aren't you doing a show in 2010?
You say you don't like pressing but you sure have nice strong pressing numbers.
I'm also glad I'm not the only one who loves how yard work, house work, renos etc hits you in a different way than regular lifting. I always smile thinking, 'wow, I have muscles I didn't know about!'

No, not planning on competing in 2010....while I said I wouldn't, I put on too much weight off-season, so now I have to work on losing some....I just don't have enough time to lose it all for a 2010 show....so I'm going on early 2011 - looking at April....
And yes - I love housework, renos, yard work etc work your body in different ways....the way I see it, I don't need to do a lot of cardio right now, especially if I meet my macros. I'd rather spend that time around the house on the weekends....

Tuesday 5/4
**Left shoulder is hurting pretty good, so figured it'd be a good cardio-only day.
PM Cardio
Spin bike; 25 mins - 10 min warmup + 15 sprints/15 mins
Elliptical; 15 mins; 149 cals; 1.21 miles
**Left shoulder has been bugging me for about a month, I would say. I sleep on that side most of the time & woke up one day with it hurting & it hasn't stopped, plus it crunches, pops, cracks, etc. It hurts on all my upper-body days & I've just ignored it. Well, I've decided I have health insurance for a reason, so I have an appt. with my Orthopedist next Wednesday at 8:05am. Just want to make sure I don't have a rotator cuff injury.
