A month a go I had the Arginine infusion test done, hoping to get scripted GH paid for with my Endo's help...I go in yesterday, and he says good news, bad news...good news is your gh level was good, >50 total over the 3 hours, no I don't understand the scale, but he said that was in a good range and so were the IGF-1 numbers.

He said I could take some for anti-aging and gave a very small dose of Gentropin, approx. 1 iu, 3 times a week..not much I know..and then he was going to still attempt to get my insurance company to pay for this low dose, but for a low amount for "anti aging". So i may self prescribe when I can find some and get some more money..he did up the test to 140 gm..

he also gave me the GH script and told me if i knew of a pharmacy to get the script filled to go for it..I was clueless on that, so i paid for 5 weeks worth that he had "extra" in his office...and kept the script

i can't really complain because he says all my numbers/markers are looking good, and I feel great..just not going to get a decent amount of scripted GH..damn it..oh and I'm 43...still over fat and need to work on diet...

Maybe a look in to prami, and an 8 weeker of some test E is in order!!!

any comments or suggestions are appreciated..just looking to lose fat,get stronger, blah blah, etc.. and I play hockey 5 times a week, gym twice....

appreciate the feedback

I guess I should be happy I have a script at all, but I thought for sure I was going to get approved for a higher dose and have numbers which would justify my insurance paying for it. He's thinking the numbers are too high for my insurance to cover it..

I guess I should be happy I have the script in hand in case I fall in to some other quantities...but it is brand specific, but maybe that doesn't mean anything...

enlighten me on the ins and outs of this? Thanks

My guess is most docs are very hesitant to prescribe GH as there's a bit of a witch hunt these days for docs prescribing any sort of hormone replacement these days, particularly for "anti-aging".

Lets say i had a script for Methodarpetron. If I was supposed to take it daily and the doc would write me a script for a years worth I might use an online pharmacy to buy my Methodarpetron.

So I might be 'caught' with what looks like a lot of Methodarpetron but It's really only me filling a large script.

1ui pd x 365 days = XXX

I'm not good at math, but I bet some of the Vets or Mods can do the calculation

Methodarpetron is a made up drug. :roflmao:

You had me worried for a moment there. Have you any idea of the deca-dick-like sides on Methodarptron? I wouldn't ever run it without running at least double the amount of Bolderbone.

Congrats Goaler, now you must play the game with follow up visits to check your IGF and test levels.

RichD328,

Thanks bro, I appreciate all your help. My numbers , IGF-1 were too good to get GH amounts like you, but the Doc is working on my insurance co. and like said before, I have a script!!! I feel so much better the last 4 months, and the great thing is my insurance has paid for almost all the blood work, Office visits and about a third of the "hormones". Still crossing my fingers that I'll have a "need" for even a low dose of GH, to get that paid for, but if not, I'll play the game and buy the little that I'm allowed and do some shopping on my own. I owe you several !!!!!

No thanks needed, curious to see what the drug stores will charge for the gh. Can you get the script filled at any drugstore?

Yes, I guess I can, but he didn't seem to think it would be easy to get. I'm wondering if I could try it, knowing that I would pay out of pocket. He gave me the script since it was filled in the office at $10.00 an iu, according to my converting. Genotropin. But he mentioned it was still good I think to try elsewhere..hmmm now you have me thinking..
