"It's pleasant knowing that, thanks to what I can do, some people's lives are better because I exist."
~New Moon~
I took a tad over 5 weeks off from the Gym.
I will just say in that time I learned to be happy and healthy without having to log, calorie count, get my BF done, take measurements, record my food or panic b/c I haven't updated my log etc. I look in the mirror, like what I see and don't think twice about things much at all. I can't even count them on my fingers I got upset about the way something fit or looked, or ate something I wasn't completely comfortable with. It's also hard for me to eat so often and solid food like I used to. That should be interesting...
I think for kicks I'll do the BF thing to see if I've lost some muscle. Good thing is if I ever decide to compete again, I can always do well in bikini. (Sassy I'm sure you're cringing). I've grown to like being smaller so I'll see how that goes.
So, I figured, I am going to see if this test makes logging a bit easier since I started lifting weights again. SO much easier to NOT log when you are not pumping iron, but the repellent I've had from the gym has eased up and we'll see how this round of Bunnification goes.
I look like a Vampire but it fits with the Twilight Saga I'm reading.
Click it to see original size I think it's way huge.

I will post some of my notes from last week or so to get this rolling.
Still hard to post on this site, much going on around here ... I will do my best to keep up.

Thank you R! It helps with weight training, to log, I admit, I dont eat as much as I should or what I should.
I'll eat mainly Whole Wraps with LF Cheese, Raisin Bran, Oranges like they are going out of style.
I can choke down the chaliky ness of the Isopure by cutting it with G2, Protein is very low for me.
I like not eating so much and I often forget to.

our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our
light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'who
am I to be so brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually,
who are we not to be? You are a child of God: Your playing small

so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to
make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some of us,

Preliminary Look at mini experiment:
Time off From Weights/Cardio/Gym:
approx 5 weeks
Scale Weight:
172 vs 172.2
Bodyfat:
16.6% vs 16.8%
LBM:
143.46 vs 143.26
Supps
Few, if any during that time
Diet
mostly Carbs (60%+ if not more)
Protein: Not much at all
Fat: Most likely equal to or less than Protein consumption.
Training
consisted only of Bikram Yoga 3-5 times a week, varied
Preliminary conclusions.
While eating a high carb diet, no weight training or cardio, Bikram Yoga allowed me to maintain my body fat and Muscle mass without consuming large or adequate amount of protein or resistance training (with weights). While appearance may look a bit softer and streamlined, no actual muscle has been lost or fat gained.
This is good to know. :)
Happy Thursday :)

Bikram is the shiznit!!
I am really underestimating that time frame.
Since November 18th, 08 until the end of December 08, I weight trained only 7 times (those being only in the entire month of December. ) I did run in FL for Thanksgiving, no weights though.
I was set in my mind I wasn't going to worry (daily) about food, OMG fitday, omg log it, gaining fat etc..
The less I worried and the more I knew I was good, I was confident, I didn't mind phunk the heck out of everything... my body followed the new path I gave it. 90% of the time I allowed no other option to enter.. slip ups sure, that comes with life, but I'll take 90%.
There is something to say about this for sure.. given how well I know my body... guess I know my mind a bit better this time around.

^^ I should mention that my am's without Cardio Breeze, were almost impossible? lol
Wow i was very dependent on that stuff.
I think the only reason I got up this a.m. was b/c I found to hardened old caps and popped them at 4:30 am :)
Thank you Cardio Breeze.

I'm not nearly as in shape as you are. But I noticed the same thing. I was hitting the gym hard before the wedding I was in the best shape I had ever been in. When we got back I was still on Jamaica time, lol, and needless to say the gym was low on the list of things to do. So I gorged myself on all inclusive meals and drinks for a week didn't work out for over a month and when I weighed I was exactly the same and by bf % was lower! WTF!?!?! Any ways I also thought it was interesting as well. Although I did notice a difference in my size for sure.

Your body probably enjoyed the break and was still trudging full force ahead, the cals were appreciated as well as enjoyed, Im sure.
It's it entire 'use it or lose it' breaking point... they can tell you after two-three weeks LBM begins to break down but every person is different and has a different threshold.
Even just a few days back lifting and I already have the 'cuts' back and appearance of 'training', vs softer shape. Even just hints of them, they are there.
It's totally a mind control issue with the compulsion to have to work out or else... not many people take the time to find out what else entails, esp for then a few days or a week if they are lucky.
I am happy my body didn't self destruct, and honestly I think it has alot to do with my mind not letting it or dwelling on it like it has when I started really training.
Either Way TGIF... I have to remember to eat more.. That is a an interesting one for me right now.

Nice pre Valentine's day workout.
That break you took was better for the mind than the body. When the mind heals it heals the body too. I find when I take time off I come back with a renewed spirit.
Breaks we all need them and just a shame we do not use them as part of our training.
That said time for me to get back to work.

Ahhh so that is why 6.0 mph was harder than usual.
I remember it being easier but I haven't done these [like this] since 2007 and my last prep.
Seems like yesterday, yet again, so long ago.

Per Bikkers..."take a deep inhale, the exhale strongly as you push your thighs, hips and stomach forward as much as possible."
"There's no pulling on the heels. You're just holding them."
^^ This is usually so I don't fly and smack my face in the front mirror . :)
It happens, so I hear... lol
