Did you know...
You can get food poisioning from undercooked rice and beans???
I did not know that!

Kidney beans and potatos I knew about; they contain toxins that are destroyed by cooking. Rice I didn't know.

When I was in high school, kids used to eat raw potatoes to jack up their body temperature and simulate fever, so they can get a medical note...
I never did that...I had my own method that never failed;)
I am sooo happy my kids didn't have any of the rice I cooked. One it was a different kind of rice we never had before, two, I knew it was undercooked and ate it anyway. I am still suffering arrrrr.

I know undercooked rice gives me stomach bloating and pain...But that's bout it for me.
Are you sure it was the rice and not something else?

Well it might of been a combination, I cooked rissotto. but extreme stomach cramps that night, I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital and well.... extreme diarhera the next day (I mean BAD) and nausa. I became very dehydrated and fast, lots and lots of water. no vomiting but I am still bloated.

It is taking its course, but better. I look four months prego and my stomach is very sore to the touch, but I am drinking a lot of water to flush my system. Baby arrowroot banana cookies and pedialite are my friend right now. :D
I highly recommend Gravol gingerroot. It is all natural, no drowsiness losenges that make my tummy feel better within 10 minutes, which could also be contributing to the bloating but whatever, it makes me feel better.
lesson learned, it could of been worse, because if my kids had eaten it... but they didn't so I am extremely relieved.
