I was a bit disappointed at first when I didn't see a recipe, but I'm glad to see Tren is stepping up to the plate with some recipes, so I'm subscribing to this thread and looking forward to trying some chili!

BTW, I'm interested spicy and tangy both with and without beans :dinner:

That wouldn't be 50-70 grams of protien if it were 10 servings. Not even close. It would barely be 4-5oz of turkey assuming the 2.5lbs is a post cooked weight. If that is package weight that post-cooked it is closer to 2.15lbs.

It's not the greatest thing ever but the chili I made last night:

2lbs deer burger, 1/2lb of 93/7 beef burger
2 large cans of chili beans
1.5 large can of tomato puree
1/2 an onion
1 punch of garlic
2 punch chili powder
~2-3tb of olive oil
some black pepper

Brown meat, throw everything into a pot and simmer until you like how thick it is. I normally let it simmer for about an hour.

with the beans its close, i should of put 6-8 servings...6 servings gets you higher up ...8obvioulsy less... i put a slice of cheese also on each so extra 5 pro

T-Cake's Taco Chili
- 1-2 lb ground meat (chicken, turkey, beef, whatever)
- 1 chile of your choice (I use cubanelle, very mild), chopped and seeded
- 1 (white or yellow) onion, chopped
- 2 cans beans of choice (I use black and pinto)
- 1 can Mexi-corn (corn with chilis/peppers in it)
- 2 cans tomatoes + diced chiles in it
- 1 packet Ranch dressing seasoning
- 1 packet Taco seasoning
- Chicken broth or water (no more than 2 cups)

Optional Toppings:
- Cheese
- Lowfat sour cream
- Crushed organic blue corn chips

1. In large soup pot/dutch oven, spray cooking spray and sautee the chile pepper and onion until soft, about 5 minutes. When cooked, transfer to plate or bowl.
2. In same pot, re-spray with cooking spray, add meat and cook until browned over medium-high heat.
3. When meat is cooked, add back in onion/peppers. Pour Ranch and Taco seasonings onto the meat/pepper mixture. Stir well to coat.
4. Open up all the cans! :nerd: Pour all beans, tomatoes and corn into the pot. No need to drain these!
5. Stir soup well using a spoon or ladle.
6. At this point, soup is more chili consisentency. If you would like it thinner, add some chicken broth or water and re-stir.
7. Once desired consistency is achieved, bring entire soup pot to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and simmer anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.

FREEZES GREAT!
To serve, ladle into bowls and top with optional toppings.

For those who don't want beans, consider adding extra chopped veggies to the sautee in the beginning (a green or a red bell pepper, maybe an extra onion) OR keep the meat to 2 lbs instead of just 1.

^^^ Might I also add I sent this to a Super Bowl party this year with dyoda because he needed a chili recipe for a cook-off of sorts.

He said this was POLISHED OFF and everyone loved it. :pig: He loved that it was ridiculously easy. :) I think all he added to it was some spicy sausage or something like that, but it's just good no matter what.

Easy White Chili

1 lb. chicken breasts/tenders, cook in EVOO and chopped
1-2 yellow onions, chopped
2 cloves minced garlic
3 cans navy beans
16 oz chicken broth (I make my own by boiling the chicken instead of cooking in EVOO)
1-8 oz can green chilis
1 heaping tbsp cumin
1 tbsp oregano
cayenne pepper to taste
salt to taste

Throw everything in crockpot or large soup pot, cook on low to moderate heat for at least 30 minutes. Longer & slower is better.

Serve topped with chopped green onions and grated cheese (your choice; I use pepperjack).

there's an extremely easy and good recipe on the side of the Bush's Kidney Bean cans. I think it's actually called Healthy Hearty Chili.
