Nope it's not. It's what happens when the white house intelligence is wrong and changes from yes there are WMD to no there aren't and when a war bill is proposed that is to be paid for with tax cut roll backs for the wealthy that are then pulled when the bill is up for vote. I don't know about you but I went from let's go get the SOB to WTF are we doing there in about the same amount of time as the rest of country.
Anyways it's a moot point, Jeb's numbers are way off and Florida will go to Kerry. End Game.

Barring and "voting snafu"... http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Remember, we've enter an age where the people can elect a president (the popular vote) and be told "fuck you, we're puting in who WE want" (the electroal vote).

But Ive said too much already. I should go before Im apprehended and sent to the Ministry of Love for reeducation and a refresher course on Newspeak...

I am from Chicago. The voting machines don't even HAVE a republican choice on them. You either pull straight ticket democrat or you don't get your garbage picked up.

There's good reason for the electoral college IMO. No one was told "fuck you." This is America, it's how our system has been set up since inception. It isn't as if the popular vote has been the deciding factor except for the 2000 election.

The electoral college was put into place because the "educated elite" didn't want the "dumb farmers" deciding elections.

The voting system is only as good as the people that run it. When the election commissioner (Jeb's appointee) removed 55,000 black voters (democrats maybe?) from the election rolls that were later found to be removed for no reason, and the election is decided by 535 votes you'd think she'd go to jail. Nah, they made her a republican congresswoman.

For that reason and also so smaller state's interests would not be mostly ignored in an election, as they might be in a popular election

I'm sure there were shennanigans in the last election, as there will be in this one. On both sides...its really been that way always I think.

Do you think Bush will win Florida this year?

Jeb is in trouble here so no I don't think W can win Florida. Hundreds of those 55,000 voters who were disenfranchised are suing the state over it. I think the turn out in the minority (how long are we going to be able to say THAT) communities will be unparalleled because of what happened last time. There are a lot of pissed off people down here.
