Canadian LW Strongman Nationals

I did this contest on August 23rd.

*farmers medley 235lb, 290lb, 305lb per hand 50' each. time limit (tl)
*760lb Yoke for 50'. tl
*Car Deadlift ~700lb. tl
*Press Medley 185lb stone, 230lb keg, 245lb barbell, 275lb axle, 300lb log. tl
*350lb Shield Carry max Distance
*303lb atlas stone to 51" tl for reps Won this event

I had a solid day but my head wasen't into it and training has been off for 2 months or so. Placed 3rdish on most events but won the stone for reps and thru the magic of strongman scoring took 2nd place.

I am not sure about Lousiville yet, my training partner Dave Beers is getting ready for that one and HW Pro Chad Coy will be dieting down to make his run at the LW card. I think Ryan Brown (another former HW Pro) could be there along with some other top guys... should be a battle just like the Northeast Beast.

That was definitely a heavy contest for LW's you just did - good luck with your training and keep in touch.

**KY is a cool contest because the venue is attached to a nice hotel. Walking distance to resturants and everything. Not sure about the strip clubs and "growlers" though.

Random side question: Is there a specific reason stones always seem to be last at most strongman comps, or is it just out of tradition, or perhaps this is not the case?

If I ever move to Jerz I wanna take up MMA part-time. Would love to start now but between training for SM, my full-time engineering job and part time bouncing on the weekend i dont think its gonna be posible.
