Barry Bond's latest statement on his alleged steroid use. During an interview where he was asked about him being investigated in the BALCO deal, he lifted his shirt and said "Do I look like I got ripped abs?”

Now, come on. If there was something you could just take to get ripped abs, everyone of us would be on it. I just refuse to believe that a top level athlete doesnt know that steroids dont just give you "ripped abs." He is simply playing to the media and the mass misinformation that is being spread.

I mean, we all know someone could run bulking cycles for years and never see their abs. But I guess the average consumer still wants to believe in miracle drugs to look like Arnold.

Finally, later in the interview, he points to his locker. While he denies taking steroids, he does admit to using supplements. There on the top shelf of his locker is the reason for his gains - a bottle of creatine. Um yeah, thats what I tell people at the gym too.

In his position it's a good move. The mass and medai are stupid. What you know and what they know about steroids is very different. 99% of the mass is going to say, "oh yeeeaaah, that's riiiight, he'd have abs and look like a body builder if he were using steroids."

He needs to dig out that poster that has that guy with every bull-shit side effect known to man on it and use a lazer pointer on it for a presentation. "see media people, no needle tracks on my forearms!"

HAHA, I use the opposite line when prepping for a show... no, no, NO!! The guys who are on steroids look all bloated and fat. The steroids make them hold water... then off season I switch back to the ab-line.

nah...it's selective man, you know this. Juice, rec dope, freak sex, bling rides, stand-out athletes, corporate top-dogs,...pick your high-end topic du jour, 80% (guestimate % for effect) understand the push whatever it may be. The masses ain't stoopid (bad grammar intentional) bro, you/they accept reality and bury what ya' need to, it's life and the game man (preachin' to the Pope here I know).
