Canonofman I hope you were kidding. I'm not an advocate of any political party in this country but if you think John Kerry has even a remote shot of winning the presidential election, you are dreaming sir.

Stop reading the press people. They really don't have any knowledge other than their slanted spin as to who will win. Bush regardless of what you think of him is going to win in a landslide election. The Democrats already expect this and that is why they chose not to mount a serious candidate against Bush.

2008 when Hillary runs is when the Democratic party takes back the presidency.

Count on it.

Just a couple things. One, the people chose the candidates not the party.
Two, you sound like my Dad a year ago. "Of course they'll find WMD, do you think Bush would just send troups to Iraq without knowing they are there for sure?"

In March....

Carter led Regan by 30 points.
Bush led Clinton by 11 points.
Bush and Kerry are in a dead heat.

I think you'd better wait for the returns.

P.S. You won't see a woman president in your lifetime.

TonyDelk, it appears each of us thinks the other has lost touch with reality. How Bush could possibly win in "a landslide election" is beyond me, well, unless they capture Osama the week of the elections, then I'd give the nod to Bush. Tony and I likely live in different parts of the country and associate with groups that have a collective political opinion that oppose each other. Such is life in the diametrically opposed Polarized States of America.

So how many people on Capitol Hill do you guys think are on HRT?

Actually I have an outright disdain for politics. I was "professionally trained" to be a politician in college with a major in international relations. I spent a semester on Capitol Hill.

I really don't pay attention to any of the political rhetoric. The only thing I pay attention to are business cycles and world order. They tell me in specific terms that unless something of catastrophic nature occurs sometime between now and October, the current politicos in power will stay the same.

Ulter I think Hillary Clinton is one of the most disgusting people in the universe. But you are fooling yourself if you don't think most of the women in this country will vote for her on general principle. The last time I checked census studies, women were outnumbering men here by almost a 3.3-1 margin.

I tend to agree with you about not seeing her as president-- but not because she won't be elected. Because she'll likely be assasinated. ;-) She has a "few" enemies.

Oh shit .....

One of the things I like best about AF is the general understanding that there are better things to do than get into scraps over religion or politics. If the Yankees weren't so busy this weekend getting their asses kicked by the RedSox, I'd suggest we change the subject of debate to Our National Pastime .....

But let's get over this I've got a crystal ball on Campaign '04 biz. "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

... Then, do what you have to do.

When politics infiltrates other boards in posts that don't really belong on a thread for that forum they will end up here.
