okay a normall chest day before my arm injury would be like

bench
warm up 135
225- 8
275-6
315-3-4
365=1
315-2

then incline bench, then incline fly then decline flat bench

i cant do heavy weight right now so i was thinking this
bench- max right now is around 325lbs and simply can not do as many reps with 225 cause of pain in the shoulder,

so to make up for this should i just add in more excercises? like instead of 4 doing 6 because i can only do lighter weight

in my head i am ready to go and want to do more, and i feel like maybe progress is lacking due to lack of pushing myself

do what you can without making it worse.. if going over a certain number of reps is hurting then maybe try pausing the bar on your chest and doing much slower negatives to get the same kind of inroad you'd get from higher reps with the same weight?

I remember 30 reps @ a reasonable % being the golden number per bodypart so hwo you make it up isn't as important as being able to progress without getting rehurt

Have you tried dumbells?
Have you tried doing things to strengthen yr rotators and warming them up before every upper body workout?
Every bencher who neglects specific rotator strengthening movements eventually blows out their shoulders n cant bench. Thats a fact.

to be blunt... yes and no.... have a rod jammed down your rotator cuff really F#CKED me up.....but i always did before and now do what i can to stretch it out

i have tried dumbells....doesnt really help the problem... also my elbow ( just broke the humerus above the elbow) will click sometimes when i go really heavy

idk if this is something will go away as i build me strength up.... or if this is something i need to get use to...and kiss heavy ass weights goodbye:sadwavey:
