GHB, GBL Vs. Butyl Diol (**Moved Here**)

Not sure if the spelling is even correct "Butyl Diol".

Anyways a buddy of mine had taken some of this stuff over the weekend and claimed it was similar to GHB, GBL.

I have never heard of "BD" or "Butyl Diol". Does anyone know of this substance or what it is all about. It sounds bad to me for some reason. The way he explained it though...it seemed just like GHB or GBL.

Any thoughts?? I have read a few posts in the past where it seemed as if a few of you know a thing or two about this topic.

It is not the same. GBL and GHB are basically the same molecule, but GBL is in a ring. butandiol is a usesfull synthetic intermediate, but it needs to be oxidized at one end to becom a carboxylate or crboxyic acid before it gives the effects you want.

Dont misunderstand, BDL will get you fucked up (drunk?), but it isnt like GHB/GBL. Ive never experienced euphoria from it, and Ive always felt hung over after using it. I dont like it.

i think butyldiol refers to the 1,4-butanediol molecule, which has been marketed for GHB/GBL-like qualities in the past.

the 'gamma' position is essentially the 3rd (alpha, beta, gamma) but i can't remember exactly how it relates as far as molecular reference. it's been 5 years since chem classes!

I used 1,4 for about a year, on and off. It f*cks you up, that's for sure. It only lasts about 4 hours though, just like GHB and GBL.

BDO is more viscous tastes like shit, screws up your liver and is cheaper than GHB. GHB is the afterproduct of a synthesis with either Sodium Hodroxide or Patassium Hydroxide.
BDO will get you messed up but with much worse side effects.

I dont know what you mean by cleaner, GHB is mearly a water down version of GBL with either NaOH or KOH added to during the synthesis then the PH is balanced to neutral.
Not everything is safe unless you use your head. GBL is more addictive, and you can never drink alchohol on any of them.

WEll, that would be wrong. GBL convert to GHB in your system. It isn't "watered down" GBL as such would be no more "addictive." Finally, you could certainly drink alcohol, but alcohol can add to the depressive effects of GHB.

Well, you obvously have very little experience with this substance and should stop posting miss imformation. You making yourself sound stupid.
Your body eventually converts GBL to GHB but do you think it uses exactlly 93 grams of sodium hydroxide and does you body store distilled water somewhere? Oh and I guess it knows how to balance the PH by itself also.
Finally if GHB is 1 part GBL and 9 parts water wouldnt a smart person realize straight GBL is obviosly more addictive.
Oh BTW go ahead and drink while doing this drug and expect your respitory rate to drop to the point where you can die.
You need to go and do more research because if people listen to what you say they will undoubtably missuse this substance and wind up in the hospital.
