I have sharp burning recurring pain for the past year. The epicenter seems to be 1 inch distal and one inch lateral to the center of my antecubital fossa.

I think my radial head is subluxated too. The area, which sometimes is quite large, like the area of a softball, also hurts on extension type exercises like benching - unless I consciously align the pressure along my ulna (no radial pressure). The radius has sort of popped and grinded for a couple of years when I do pull ups or pull downs.

Doing curls thumbs up hurts the most, more than palm down or palm up. I don't think its brachioradialis. is it brachialis. Insertion of one head of the biceps on the radius. how do I tell?

With all that going on, go see a ortho.

Since you hurt more in a hammer position, I too would think it is either a brachioradialis or brachialis problem. In the end, it does not matter all that much if it one of those or even biceps cuz you have to stop any offending movements.

In an eval, you would be manual muscle tested in the positions you already tired and the evaluator would palpalte the area to try to assess what is going on.

Maybe Pixie will see this and have something to add.
