I am looking to purchase some briefs for an APA Powerlifting meet on Oct 11.

Any recommendations would be great. I have big legs and am looking for a pair for a beginner.

I think the best beginner briefs you can buy are the 2ply Frantz briefs. I don't, however, know if Frantz is still making them.

Other than that, if you are planning on staying in the same weight class, drop some money on the Metal Pro briefs. They are great briefs, lots of rebound and lots of life in them. You could even do the full meet in just briefs and wraps and still get a lot of carryover. In my opinion Metal makes the best squat gear on the planet.

I like the Inzer Predators briefs, lots of pop out of the hole.

As you know, I'd recommend my modified Frantz but due to timing issues, beyond that...

G and I say to check out: (single) Titan boss, (double) Inzer hardcore, (single) IPF Metals, (double) Metal pros if you're wearing a single ply squatter, or get the double Frantz and modify them after the meet.

DO NOT ORDER FRANTZ ANYTHING!!!! I am NOT a hater and love my modified (same as Pixie) Frantz double ply briefs. But I have heard that everything coming from him is shit anymore.

I'd go with metal for all of my briefs if I were you. Metal Pros would work great. You can get in them and still use them with higher level suits once you are ready.

You can try to order Frantz but I would be leary about it. SS, RB

I am leaning towards the Frantz briefs. I have a Metal squat suit and adding in the Metal briefs might be more than I can handle.

Do they still make them? I was looking on inzernet and didn't see them listed under the briefs.

I must be looking in the wrong place for Inzer. I only saw the hardcore squat suit.

I am going to give Frantz a call. Just order them big and have them modified later. My goal is to get a 300lb squat. Last meet I was able to squat 260 with a loose z-suit so I think 300lb will be doable.

Don't order the briefs big. Just get them to fit tight/snug. The modification makes them tighter.

G says that if you have a single Metal squatter, you may want to try the Metal pro (single or even double). If your suit is double (sorry I don't remember), you might be able to go without briefs.

Claire, I sent you a PM but please be wary of the Frantz briefs. He has a new lady sewing and she sucks. It took me three send backs for her to stop fucking up.

Also, once you get them you need to send them to Ginny and ask for the J.R. Special on the briefs. She will sew Metal Ace material in the back on a cross pattern and the "new" briefs will be incredible!! SS, RB

Inzer doesn't show everything that's available on his website. I love my predators!!

I just want to make sure I can get the briefs on by myself. I was never able to get my groove briefs on.

I am going to read through a log of a newbie powerlifter that is using Metal Ace and Metal squat suit. See if that was too much for her. Her raw lifts are lower than mine and she has been powerlifting less than a year.

If your big in the legs and ass too much/thick support is going to mess up your form.

Get and inzer groove briefs and a single ply cheapo poly

Okay - overkill :)

My legs are big compared to my hips and waist. So if I buy them to fit my legs, they are loose on my hips.

I bought a pair of inzer groove briefs about a year ago. I was not able to get them on and never got around to returning them. I ordered them a size bigger than Inzer's chart suggested.

Trust me you can get them on. My wifes hip to thigh to waist ration was crazy and it took her half and hour to get her suit on when she first got it.

U just gotta smoosh yourself into it

I will bring them to my gym tomorrow and try. I have suit slippers in my gym locker so maybe those will help. It would be the easiest solution since I already have them.
