I have a 5.0 digital camera made by Kodak.
Its great and all but I am having trouble email pics with it. I cant figure out how to make them smaller file size to email. Right now all pics are around 1MB and higher, which is almost impossible to email.
Can anyone help me?

they are probably being saved at bitmap images, you need to save them as jpegs. Also you might need to adjust the picture size on the camera settings. When you save one of the pictures how is it saved?...if it's a bitmap there's your problem. When you go to save the pictures once they are on the computer go "save as" then pick "jpeg"

I already checked that. They are saved as jpegs already. http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
Its really starting to annoy me because one of the main reasons I wanted this was to email pics to my family and friends back home. http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Once you get used to the Kodak Photo EasyShare software, it's really handy for making pics that are too dark or unclear come out much better. I just got one myself and it's really nice now that I'm used to it.
Okay, so here's how you do it. Once you open up the softare and are in a gallery of thumbnails of pics, double click on a picture. It should come up on the whole screen. Then click edit picture at the bottom of the screen (blue button). Then click "Save As" and when the save screen comes up, type in a new file name and click on the pulldown menu for resize picutre. Make it about 25% (I find that's best for me) and then save the picture. You will now see it saved in that same gallery with all of the other original pictures. Now when attaching the photos to an e-mail, find the one with the new name and attach it and you will find the pics running about 50-100K per picture which is quite nice (On my 3.2 Mega Pixel camera). Hope this helps.

LuckyDog...thats exactly what I needed. I just overlooked that. I saved them as 50% and they emailed just the size that I wanted. Thanks you so much.
