Just wondering if there are any shooters here?

If so, what do you have?

I spent 3 years in the infantry so i have a Bushmaster AR15 style rifle with a heavy barrel.

I also have a benelli super 90 tactical shotgun.

If i ever quit spending all my money on juice I'll be buying some more someday.

All I have now is a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum 4” revolver. Stainless steel, it’s a nice piece.

Back when I was younger I was really into guns. Plus, it was not a far drive to shot. BTW - it is very, very easy to get a permit to carry concealed in Indiana.

I always shot my dad's guns. His best is a full auto German WWII era submachine gun. The name eludes me.

All I have is a S&W 40 cal handgun. I kinda lost interest in guns because I have no money for them and shooting in Cali is $$.

I did get to go through a SWAT training course though, with an HK MP-5 (full auto). It was badass.

BTW - any paintballers???

I wish I did...they are so much fun to shoot. Here in Kentucky we have a machine gun shoot twice a year at the Knob Creek gun range. You can go and watch and see some of the coolest guns known to man...and best of all, for a small fee you can shoot them. You wouldn't believe the kick an automatic shotgun has. http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I keep a Python .357 locked up. But I haven't found any good shooting places or clubs here yet. I really miss it. When I first got here I asked EZE aka theenforcers if he knew of any but he was gun shy. When I was in Chicago I bought and sold several handguns and would go shooting 3 times a week because the range was a mile down the street. There were the usual bunch of cops using it but the interesting guys were the club guys. The black powder guys, that would make their own hand guns and use 50 caliber balls. You thought the building fell down when they fired them. And since I worked construction one summer and had a hand in building that range it might very well fall down some day.

Yeah, it really is the shit. I got to shoot the shotgun, a double barreled 50 cal machine gun (that was badass), and an HK equivalent of an m16 (that was super fun). That has so much cool shit there. They had flame throwers at nightime and tracers in the machine guns, a 6 barreled cannon (yes the oldtime kind), a minigun which looked like a vacuum cleaner but disintegrated a car, and everthing else I could even think of. You can buy, sell, trade, shoot, or just watch for fun.

Shooting is a good time and an excellent skill to possess. I'm down to a Kimber 1911 (.45) and a "customized" single-shot 12G. The latter is designed for "welcoming the unwanted."

I've had my eye on this baby though for the past 6+ months and I'm pretty close to buying.

I just picked up a Makarov PA-63 the other day. Shoots 9x18 ammo. Its a nice small handgun. The ammo is little smaller than a 9mm and bigger than a .380.

So what do you have to do in most states to get a concealed carry permit? What background checks do they do?

My fake breasts are the best part of me. Its funny. You boil me down to my most important features and it is 2 bags of saline.

Most states can very greatly in CC laws. In CA you have to jump through a few hoops to get one. They do all kinds of backround checks.

If you your on file with the FBI (eg peaceful political protester) you might not be able to get a CCP.

Thats true Vox. Its the same in Jersey as well.

However I am in Florida now and it is a piece of cake to get a concealed permit. Go to a gun show or any other place offering the test, take the course for an hour, pay $30, and you walk out able to carry a gun on you legally.

If some of you do, can I ask why you feel the need to pack heat? Don't get me wrong I've grown up in a family of hunters and I'm not against owing guns in the least, but packing a handgun...really is there a need.

I don't believe I need to pack heat, that's why God created "I'm sorry for smiling at your girl friend sir, it won't happen again" and if he's still pissed off "running your ass off"

Talking people down usually works if it doesn't there's always a good cardio workout.

Then again, if your stupid enough to put your self into a postion where you may need a gun then you obviously are pretty stupid.

Mind you this is coming from a person who has never been in a "real" fight and has no wish to be in one, it must be my naturally low test levels. Then again if someone inflicted any kind of harm to me or someone I cared for I would I open a meat packing company.

I dont feel that I have to carry a gun. I like having the option to carry one if I so choose.
J I am sure that there is a lot more crime here in Florida and NJ than in Canada where you are. You might not see the need there but I will tell you that I am looking over my shoulder a lot here.

Vox....have you really never been in a fight? You have great patience my friend. Consider yourself blessed.
